I canceled the alarm service due to wrong equipment, wrong placement and poor work. Salesman *******, returned to retrieve the equipment. After taking down the cameras, he put foam drywall in the hole on the rear wall and left it running down the wall. He also left two other holes, one in the garage and one in my bedroom. He stated he would be back in 30 minutes; he needed to go get materials to patch the walls. He did not return. I spoke to several people at Real Home Security and have gotten different stories. ********* or ******* told *** no one is going to repair the wall. *** advised me to file the complaint. A manager named ***** states he will have the *** representative take a look when he picks up the *** panel.

I was sold a security system by the *** out of Las Angelas, working temporarily in the Tucson market at a home show who I expressly asked, if there would be any kind of cancellation fees or if I could cancel at any time because I was already going through that with another security company at our home in *******. I was VERY specific that I was not interested in getting involved in a contract I could not get out of without paying some insane fee. I was then reassured that *** does not work that way and wouldn't do that to their customers. We have since started a whole-home remodel and find it inconvenient to set the alarm due to some of the sensors having been removed temporarily during the remodel and having to bypass each of those sensors individually EACH time we set the alarm. As a result we simply do not use the system. When I called to cancel the service we are simply not using, I was told that I signed an agreement stating that I had until 2027 before I could cancel with no penalty otherwise, I could cancel but I would be charged the remaining FULL balance of $1400 if I were to cancel. So let me get this straight; I own the equipment; I was lied to by the sales persons at a home show and sold a bill of goods that turned out to be a blatent LIE; and if I want to back out of the agreement the only option is pay for the service in-full for the remaining 2 years up-front, but NOT receive the service for it?! Yeah, because that makes any sense at all... This is fraud. I am so sick of security companies taking advantage of people despite asking SPECIFICALLY about this VERY ISSUE I've experienced before. But the company just leans back and does absolutely nothing to retain their ***utation or the loyalty of their customers. We would have likely gone back with them after the remodel was complete but we will never use, not only ADT, but ANY security company in the future.
