Their driver damaged my car front bumper and I filed a complaint. I called many times within 3 months and they always take my information and saying someone going to call me. I visited their office and they said we can’t do anything for you other than take your info and pass it to supervisor (******). I called his office at downtown and the lady forgot to put me on hold while asking him about my case. He told her to tell me that he’s in meeting now and he will call me later. When I visit their office in La Jolla to check who is above him to take the complaint, they said no body and you can go do whatever you want to do.Business Response

Road one towed my vehicle And damaged bumper spoiler kit Muffler and few other components Underneath this low profile luxury Vehicle ..vehicle was fine before they towed itBusiness Response

I believe this matter has been resolved with the customer. Our company never towed this vehicle. We provided the storage for the vehicle in accordance with our contract. The customer was directed to the tow company (*** Towing) which provided the towing of the vehicle. A claim should be filed with *** Towing and the determination of responsibility will be made after that.
I will consider this matter resolved unless I hear further.

On Sunday, Oct 2nd, my new car was towed by RoadOne. I immediately came to pay and pick it up. When I turned on my car it was inoperable. I have a letter from RoadOne, written by ****, confirming that and further describing how they will tow my car to the nearest dealership and be responsible for any fees. On Monday, Oct 3rd, my car had still not been towed to the dealership so I arrived in person to try to figure out what the hold up was. I was then transferred to have phone contact only with an employee named ******. He still did not tow my car and refused to pay for fees when that is not what was agreed upon, or written. ****** then called me to tell me he drove my car, without my permission of course, and he was 90% sure it was fine and I could come get it from the lot. I demanded our original agreement be met and finally he towed my car to the dealership on October 4th, Tuesday. RoadOne continues to avoid a diagnostic test even though I have proof the electric and sensor problems only occurred at the ************* of towing. I have also lost wages due to missed work and they refuse to meet the original written agreement.Business Response

This matter has already been resolved directly with the customer. The vehicle has been to the dealer, checked out and found to have no issues. I apologize that this occurred and understand it can be very concerning that something is wrong with your car and somebody else's' fault. Unfortunately, the manufacture's design on this new model year can cause a error codes to be thrown if towed. We have found driving the car a very short distance clears these errors. It was always our intention to make sure the customer was taken care of and apologize that it wasn't more smooth.
I will consider this matter resolved if I don't hear further.

sept 12 2022 i had gotten premiere suite at sycuan casino upon checking out the next day i couldnt find my car in the parking garage i had asked employees if they seen my car or what happened to my car no one seemed to have answers then i asked security which they looked on the cameras and said at about 7 am my car was towed by road one . i remembered i have a tracker in my car and i found the location of my car which is 17 miles from the place where my car was towed from. i called road one and they said i need a valid id current registration. or moving permit to get my car out . so i go there with my moving permit and ******* and drivers liscense . they wouldnt take my payment and they wouldnt take my moving permit which was the right paper i was told from the dmv i needed to get my car out i was gonna have it towed. i asked the. for the towing authorization and access notice which they are supposed to provide before payment he i also asked for the itemized invoice and the method of towing and what time was it towed and who authorized it and he said he doesnt have those papers he wrote sycuan the price i owe to get my car out on little sticky note paper .they also wouldnt let me get my belongings in my car. what kinda of lowlife busines is this now im unable to pay because i cant afford my car cause now the price is too much. i will be taking them to small claims court .predatory towing is against the law and not letting me get my possession when i have the keys to the car. now i cant get to work there costing me money i could be making but now im stuck cause they wanna steal and then extort me for my car . there causing me to miss work and pay bills this company should be shut downBusiness Response

After investigating the claims of this complaint I determined the complaint is factually incorrect. The vehicle was impounded at the direction of the ************* Department (which were on scene). The customer arrived lacking proof of ownership which is required to obtain release of the vehicle or personal property. We have to know we are giving the car or property to the right party. The customer did not have a moving permit and instead had a one trip permit which would not suffice. An itemized estimate was not given for the same reason (no business was going to be conducted), we did not have any proof of ownership or authorization. The estimate would include information for the owner and is not given out to unknown parties. Prices were given. The customer never requested the access notice which was available and posted on the wall directly in front of the customer.
The claims made are without merit and the claim is denied.
I will consider this matter resolved unless I hear further.

its pretty sad you guys have your alternate truth cause i did come in there with the moving permit and i also had the keys to my car the only thing you got right is i didnt bring my title with me and yes i seen the access notice thats on the window. vehicle code ******** (a)(2) Towing fees and access notice must be provided upon request. (b) before payments an itemized invoice of charges ges must be provided. i also asked you who authorized the tow and i wanted a print out. the big guy said he didnt have any that. vehicle code 22658 (I)(c)(i) states tow companys must provide a copy of the towing authorization before payment is made . and on top of that 17 miles away from where you picked me up from the law states you have to be no more than 10miles so like i said before you unlawfully towed my car im hoping hou guys would releases and lease be inedt

The customer continues to state factually incorrect information. Section ***** of the *** pertains to ************************* caused by the owner of the property. This in no way applies to this tow. The vehicle was impounded at the direction of law enforcement which is regulated outside of this code. The 10 mile restriction does not apply. The customer did not have a moving permit as required and instead had a trip permit which did not suffice; both of which won't work absent proof of ownership which the customer was also missing. An itemized estimate is given prior to payment however the customer was not going to be allowed to pay and without determining ownership the estimate is not provided. As previously stated we don't provide vehicle information to non-owners.
Our company has performed without error and the customer's request remains denied.
I will consider this matter resolved unless I hear further.

its against the law not to give me a copy of the towing authorization, but when i did get it from you guys, the reason why it was towed wasnt there , how you towed it wasnt there , the first and last name of the officer who authorized it wasnt there, plus wasnt parked in handicap, i wasnt blocking the entrance nor was i infront of a hydrant. if you said you went around private property towing laws then obviously theres public property laws and in order to tow my car i would have gotten a citation and 96 hrs would have to elapse and i know that didnt happen on top of that you have excessively charged me with all those towing fees which is also against the law and it can land you in jail. wether you comply with my demand letter is on you. because i will flex my rights and ill take this to court. so ill consider this complaint unresolvedInitial Complaint

Around September 1st, my bus was towed by the order of San Diego PD due to a lack of identifiable registration within the time that I was making the trade complete. I had not received a bill of sale at that point, therefore it was not yet registered. I was parked while loading my things into the automobile. It is not a commercial vehicle and I am not a driver. I was given no ticket or paperwork or officer names of any kind except a business card with the incorrect address on it. I cannot find my belongings and I am now homeless because of this company and the incompetence of their tow drivers and the ***** I will be filing complaints with the city and informing my lawyers that I would like to proceed with the necessary actions to prosecute those responsible for wrongfully stealing my automobile along with all of my possessions in the next week. When I looked at reviews, they all said things about auto auctions. This business is literal highway robbery and they deserve to be prosecuted. They've made it impossible to regain my property by refusing to allow me to even get the *** from my bus, making it impossible to register it in my name, and I can't receive my property until registering it. They've stuck me in a catch 22 situation and If it's not resolved reasonably, I'll have to resolve it in my own manner. I just want this business to be on your radar in the future because they are entirely operating on an illegal business model of theft and fencing stolen property. PLEASE, I beg you to send someone to check it out and talk to some of their "customers" at random.Business Response

Although the customer did not provide enough detail to determine which vehicle this is regarding, I can address most of the concerns in general. We, the tow company, do not determine which vehicle to impound at all. The law enforcement agency makes that determination before calling us to perform the tow. Any concerns regarding an illegal tow should probably be addressed directly with the law enforcement agency involved.
Once the vehicle is in impound, we do require proof of ownership and a picture ID. We have to provide reasonable care for the vehicle and people don't want us allowing just anybody come in and do anything with their property. When purchasing any vehicle it is important to get as much good paperwork as possible, title, bill of sale something to link the buyer to the vehicle. Once the customer gets the bill of sale or something they will be allowed to enter the vehicle and conduct any other business they might have. It is difficult for us to act on the someone just saying they own a vehicle. I understand this is a difficult spot if circumstances change please contact our office and we will try to assist the customer.
I will consider this matter resolved unless I hear further.

I arrived on site where my automobile is being held yesterday with my bill of sale and ID and was refused access to my belongings. The worker admitted he knew of my automobile when I described it. I told him there's a white book within arms reach of the door that has bills of sale from other items I own that have my name and serial numbers. and was told by the very rude and defensive worker that I could "show up with the cops."
ill be coming to get my things tomorrow with a police ****** for my safety. My bus is not commercial vehicle of CVC 260(a); it is NOT-for-hire [EXEMPT] Automobile of CVC 260(b) and i rightfully use it as a nondriver of the motoring public per CVC 1656.5(b)&(d), therefore it is being held illegally without my consent.

On 9/25/22 I was told the fee to tow my vehicle would be $260 and I was charged $455. I was told the rate is $260 per hour. My tow took less than a hour. It was 10 minutes to load my vehicle onto the tow truck and no more than 15 minutes to tow it to my home. I was charged an additional $195 for an extra 45 minutes because the driver stayed at the site of the tow for 30 minutes with my vehicle sitting on his truck while I waited, before he drove off to tow my car to the destination. I feel that he purposely took his time to incur extra fees to be charged to me. When I contacted RoadOne once he told me the fee was going to be $455 I was instead told my fee should be $260. The driver then called dispatch and I was told I needed to pay for the additional 30 minutes he took before driving off. I believe I was overcharged by this company by fraud of services for intentionally causing the extra fee to be added to the initial amount I was told. I believe I was scammed by them lying about fees to be charged and adding extra fraudulent fees on top. I feel I was taken advantage of by this company and believe I should be reimbursed for the additional fees caused by this driver for intentionally taking more time than necessary to make my payment amount increase at his and the companys benefit.Business Response

I was unable to locate a customer by this name making any payment to us. Not enough information was given to locate a vehicle that *** have been paid for. Generally, we do not issue refunds once an impounded vehicle is paid for. The request for refund is therefore denied.
I believe the incident referred to was a very serious matter involving an armed subject at the facility and a police stand off. During this incident our business had to close and no one was allowed in or out. This was handled by police and we were not in control of the matter.
I will consider this matter resolved unless i hear further.
