My startup company, ************ (***************) makes utility vehicles [UTVs] drive themselves autonomously in the off-road environment. Although most of the dolaGon product is our own hardware, we do rely on licensing a system of software to be the brains of our vehicle. In August 2023 we licensed and paid $10,000.00/month for a software system from a company called Polymath Robotics, Inc.*************************************** Polymaths software system, as described on their website and in video calls with their management team, was billed as being a commercial-ready, *********** software solution. It turns out that the claims Polymath Robotics made to us about its software were a lie. It is my feeling that Polymath Robotics made, and still makes, misrepresentations about its product and that Polymath engages in deceptive business practices which in our case led to a fraudulent bait and switch. Polymaths deception, combined with charging and taking our money every month as a fee to license a product that they knew did not exist is what I consider to be not just breach of contract but also blatant consumer fraud. In written messages to me (that I have archived), the CEO and COO of Polymath confirmed that their system was not working in my vehicles and they stated that they would need several more months to get it to work, although they also admitted that it could take longer. And they demanded that I continue to pay the licensing fee for the software product they admitted they didn't have (!) or they would drop me as a client. After that, I emailed Polymath and respectfully requested a refund. They replied with the name of their attorney and instructed me to take the legal route. No refund was provided.
