I went to eat at Cafe Mason and bought coffee. I was about to order breakfast. One of the employees told me to pay up front. I asked why and he said "because I said so". I said in that case I would not eat breakfast and would just pay for the coffee. He told me not to pay and to leave right away.

    to whom it may concern,

Due to the location we are situated, tenderloin district in downtown ************, a lot of homeless people come dine in and simply refuse to paySome servers ask customers to pay ,in advance as they order, to prevent refuse-to-pay customers. Customers without proper attire or unclean shoes, or offending odor may be asked to pay in advance or be refused service for indoor dining to consider other customers. We have posted the sign of " We reserved the right to refuse service to anyone "  We apologize to the potential customer ***************************** who is resident of local neighbor, for not being served. This is the first occasion that we received complaint ever since we opened for business April 1994 for 30 Years

I am rejecting this response because: There was nothing wrong with my shoes, attire, or odor, and I have been at Cafe Mason before and never had to pay in advance. I would like a letter of apology acknowledgin gthis.

    Sincerely,
