I hired trademark trademark prodigy to register a trademark for my business in two classes for $999. Everything went smoothly as first. They filed the trademark application and I got the serial number. Few months later, I got the same call asking $2100 for attestation and even sent me the fake USPTO notice claiming those fees. At that moment, I suspected it was a scam. I forwarded the ***** notice to ***** website for confirmation and got the reply it was a scam. Later, I checked my initial application and realized they only filed the application for 1 class which was an initial *** flag I should have recognized initially. Anyways, I contacted my credit card provider and got all my money back I sent to them. The application they filed is still pending and ***** informed me that it will probably denied because it was a filed by a fraud organization. I lost 2 years waiting for this trademark due to this scam company.

*Issue 1: ******************** Services and Refusal to Correct*- 04/25/23: Contacted Trademark Prodigy (TMP) online, paid $99 for copyright service, and inquired about TM service.- Quoted $1,700 per trademark (5 classes each), updated to $1,400 per TM (4 classes each) for a total of $2,800.- Paid in 3 installments via Credit Card: April 26, 2023 ($1,000), May 12, 2023 ($1,000), and May 26, 2023 ($800).- Received an invoice for complete payment and was told to expect TMs in some months once approved.- Recently discovered that TMP only filed 3 classes instead of the 8 I paid for, and one TM was filed with a single wrong class.*Issue 2: Charges Under False Pretense*- Months after final payment, TMP urgently demanded an additional $2,100 for a "trademark attestation," threatening loss of TMs and money if not paid.- Reluctantly paid $2,100 via PayPal on September 19, 2023, assured it was the last payment.- Two alarming issues followed: 1. Months later, TMP requested $700 to finalize (second time lying about "final payment"). 2. USPTO informed me that "TM attestation" has nothing to do with them, and the $2,100 has no connection to them.- TMP refuses to correct errors or provide a refund for the fraudulently obtained $2,100.- When confronted, TMP offered to settle for incomplete work; when I didn't accept and lost patience - this issue has pushed my mental health off a cliff as its been going over a year - now they say they won't repair at all.I'm seeking completion of the services I paid for and a refund for the fraudulent charge. Or a full refund and release of my TMs so I can file myself. Please see the attachments - they demonstrate false information mascarading as legitimate and manipulative tactics. Theyve also broken character and the ill intent is clear. I need it to be resolved and the fraudulent charge refunded. If you need anything else dont hesitate to ask. I have recorded calls, emails and text messages if needed.

Trademark Prodigy is a scam organization. They file a trademark registration application on your behalf, spoof the phone number of the *****, arrange a phone call with a fake ***** examiner, point to the fee schedule in the genuine ***** website and extract a lot of fees from you. I should have suspected this when they approached me the first time! I got suspicious the second time and called the ***** directly. ***** says that they actually did not even process the trademark application because it was submitted by a scam company. These scammers belong in jail! Please call me if you would like to follow up further. Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because:  This is a classic deflection strategy used by con(persons) everywhere.  They are saying that they were themselves a victim because I called them out on it.  How do they explain that I was already cheated out of $4500.00 in the fake " trademark examiner" scheme?  I only caught on to it when they tried to extract more money through a second fake "trademark examiner".  Will they refund my $4500?  I highly doubt it.  According to ************* Patent and Trademark Office, my application was on hold because it was submitted by a suspected fraudulent company.  Thank you for your help.

    Sincerely,

I believe that the company I work for has been scammed. We applied for a trademark for our business, ********** back in June 2023 through the company, Trademark Prodigy back in June 2023. I initially saw their business profile online(Google). I spoke to a rep from the business on the phone about the process before proceeding to make a purchase. The cost for the application for Trademark Prodigy to file on our behalf was $598 because we wanted to retain a lawyer, then they proceeded to charge us $1,050 extra to file to USPTO claiming we had to pay for each service mentioned in the application; we chose 3 services. Last week Thursday Aug 11 2023, they sent a letter requesting from the Secretary of State requesting we pay $2,100 for attestation and endorsement. I did further research and contacted a lawyer via Justanswer.com to confirm if it was a requirement to attest a trademark, to which he(the lawyer) confirmed it wasn't a requirement. We reached out to Trademark Prodigy with this information and affirmed we were not paying the fees for attestation. Today we got a call from a representative by the name ************************* *****, claiming he was from USPTO. He aggressively demanded we pay the attestation fees and stated it was a requirement or our trademark application would be cancelled and we would loose all our money. I explained that we needed further validation that this was accurate; the application on the website doesn't mention attestation or a requirement and the lawyer I spoke to stated "it was not a requirement". I insisted he send us a message from his USPTO email so I know he works for the government (please see screenshot), he stated he will send it to the third party(Trademark Prodigy) who filled out the application on our behalf and they can forward the email to us. After the call, I called USPTO to confirm details and the lady rep confirmed it was a scam and to report it. I want a refund for the overcharge of fees. I have receipts but the files are large.
