January 19th, 2024 I took my sons iPad into ifixandrepair to get a cracked screen repaired and a battery replacement. We left the iPad with Z the owner he said it would be ready by Tuesday January 23rd after 4pm. We arrived at 17:30 and iPad was still being worked on. He said to give him an hour. We came back and he was saying something is going on with it and it wont stay on. He was saying there was some internal damage. But iPad was working perfect when we brought it to him. He was apologizing for the damage but not wanting to fix the situation. He instead was trying to sell me another iPad and offer **************. I paid him for the screen only but said I wasnt happy. iPad wont stay on screen turns purple and then screen shuts off. When I called him the next day about it he wasnt happy that I wanted my sons iPad fixed. He told me bring it back so he can send for repair but said it would take a while I said fine. Dropped it off and two hours I received a text from him. (Attached below) he decided to tamper with my sons iPad again when this wasnt the agreement. I tried multiple times to resolve this issue with the owner and wasnt successful. There is more details I would like to include but it wont allow me. I did include pictures of the before it was taken to him, the messages he sent me, and the receipt for the screen I paid for that he decided to Remove. My son is autistic and non verbal & uses his iPad not only to communicate but to play his games. My son has been crying due to not having his iPad in working conditions as he doesnt understand. This business also offers a 1 year warranty off repairs and he was saying for me he will only give me 1 day warranty only. Knowing he damaged it. But receipt says otherwise. He said he wanted to be done with this but has yet to resolve the issue in replacing or repairing my Sons tablet after him damaging it. He refunded the money for the screen but Im left with a broken iPad that needs to be replaced.

     Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I had to go back in and give the money that I was refunded to the business in order for me to receive a Refurbished iPad that was identical to the one that was damaged. Business was trying to offer me a 2017 64gb iPad Pro in place of the 2021 iPad Pro 3rd generation tab was damaged. with the help of ******* I got the refurbished replacement. iPad was not a brand new one like business said not in a box or anything.
