    I took my truck to Maximum Diesels because I heard it was the best place to take a diesel truck to get fixed. I heard that it was expensive but that they would get the check engine light to go off so that I could get it to pass smog and finish registering it. They took my truck for 5 days (days I couldn't get to work because my truck was in the shop, so I lost out on money) and gave me an estimate of $140.40 for the work to be done so that it would pass smog. I told them about the recent oil change and various other small things that had already been done to the truck within the last month and then I left it with them, under the impression that they would fix it and make it able to pass smog. Instead, they had my truck and after 5 days, I was told it was good to go. I had to pay $5,054.75 to get my truck back from them, and I immediately drove it to the closest star certified smog place. It failed. The check engine light came back on right after I pulled into the smog place and so obviously it failed. I took it back and they had it for another couple of days and then I asked for a copy of the invoice and saw that all they had done were things I had told them had just been done to his truck within the last month. They charged me over 5 grand and the check engine light still won't go off. Then they said I needed a *** and they ordered it and they would let me know when it arrived so that they could replace mine. I never heard back from them and it has been over a month now. hey are too expensive and don't follow through on what they say they will do. Horrible place. I think I either need to get my money back or they need to buy and put in the *** for free and make it pass smog. I paid $5000 to have my truck come back in the same condition I left it with them in. Actually it was in worse condition because they broke the step for me to get up into my lifted truck, so now I have to jump up to make it in the truck because the step doesn't come down anymore.
