    I recently paid $2000 for a venue for my daughter sweet 16 day of 09/09/23 with a additional $500 deposit of book day/ cleaning fee. In the contract it states if any damages, missing items etc; or venue was not to be clean the next day deposit would be forfeited . But i did go back (9/10/23) the next day and clean the venue like contract had said! The day(09/09/23) of that morning i went to venue for practice with my daughter and to help decorate early that morning and as we arrived and asked about tables and chairs we were told chairs and tables were not included that they needed a additional $500. As you can see it was quite a shocker to me i told them right away they were wrong and i had proof in a message chairs and tables were included! !By then they realized a mistake was made by them once i showed them proof so then they eventually they gave me the chairs and tables with no hesitation. As I followed the next day 09/10/23 for the clean-up so i can receive my cleaning deposit like the contract says and once we were done,I went and contacted them and thats when we were told in person we will not be receiving it back due to not making the insufficient remaining balance of the tables /chairs that that in reality i actually owed them a extra $500 for tables and chairs After they seen the mistake they had made and they were shown proof of it.I feel like now that they knew they made the mistake realizing they lost a total of $500 with there mistake they wanted to keep my deposit because of it. Now mind them they didnt hesitate to tell me nothing about my deposit or nothing was brought up the morning of when we did discuss about the tables and chairs being included in a message.

    Ms. ******* rented out my property to host a sweet 16 for her daughter on the date of 09/09/2023. after reviewing the contract she only paid for the Venue which is $2,000.00 for the day and night. there is a $500 refundable deposit. so the total pricing was $2,500.00 with a $500.00 refundable deposit. the contract does not state that Ms. ******* rented tables or chairs from us. Ms. ******* is aware on our Instagram messages (photos are attached to this message) that the price of the venue is $2,000 with a $500 refundable deposit. she was also aware that the price of the venue with table and chairs is $2600 plus a $500 refundable deposit. on the day of the sweet 16 on 09/09/2023 i walked into the venue and notice Ms. ********* husband pulling out the tables and chairs (video footage can be provided.) I proceeded to tell Ms. ******* that she did not pay for the tables and chairs and that it would be an additional $600 for the tables and chairs. Ms. ******* proceeded to tell me that she did not have the funds to cover for the tables and chairs and that it was included in the pricing. I told Ms. ******* that I would take the deposit to cover for the tables and chairs since she did not have the funds for them at that moment.  As you can see from the messages that the package deal we offer is for $3,200.00 plus a $500.00 refundable deposit. Ms. ******* asked us how much it would be without the bartending services and we responded back with $2,600.00 for the venue plus tables and chairs. On the contracts it shows the following fees which are only for the deposit $500, plus $2,000 for the venue and $10.00 for two coolers. she signed and dated knowing she wasn't getting tables and chairs. we only received the amount of $2,000.00 for the venue itself and $500.00 deposit, a total of $2,500.00

     I am rejecting this response because if you have proof of my husband pulling out the tables and chairs then you also have proof of me showing your husband the Instagram message that the tables & chairs were included for $2000. You never talked to me about deducting the deposit, your husband just said it was a mistake but he would give them to me since you stated they were included. Also, my sister was present when we made the initial agreement so she heard the verbal agreements which were all made. I understand that youre trying to keep from losing the money for the tables & chairs but the way you went about it and are trying anything to still keep my deposit is bad business.
