    I arranged for a Whirlpool refrigerator installation for my ************************************************************* the refrigerator but installed none of the accessories. I installed the accessories and found that we were missing a part. After hours messing with Home Depot chat followed by hours on the phone waiting for Home Depot to pick up, I learned that Home Depot takes zero responsibility for getting necessary Whirlpool parts to their customers. It's over to the customer to hang on the phone for a few more hours waiting for someone at ********* to pick up and actually respond. The part got hung up in some ***** facility for 15 days and as it turns out, ***** is unable to respond to inquiries about parts shipped from *********. Back to the phone we went.The part arrived 30 days later.

    Never, ************* any cabinetry work with them. They took wrong measurements (very common according to installer), quality of material is extremely cheap, and quality of work is ugly. They try to sign you up and black mail you that they will not refund the money for their wrong measurements or infeasible to install stuff (because they overlooked some things during measurements). Even if it is their mistake it takes more than 8 months to resolve it. And the resolution will be in their favor. Horrible folks, they are out there to cheat you and they are after your money. On the contrary, I had an amazing experience with ******.

    I would avoid these people in ********. Smarmy salesperson withheld crucial information about how much the new windows would decrease the light entering the home (even though their installation specialist later said it was a known issue for that type of windows) and lied about the effectiveness of the insulation of the windows (we are having condensation inside even though it barely made it below freezing outside). Installation crew cut corners including patching together the short, end pieces of trim around one window, not caulking holes their removal of the previous windows left in the wall, and leaving shards of sharp metal in the flowerbeds below the windows. Windows also had minor defects (nicked veneer showed white *** underneath; one screen had a hole in it). When we brought these issues to Home Depot, it took them MONTHS to get someone out to look at it and another month to get back with us about what they were going to do. They ended up giving us some caulk, a new screen, and some paint for the *** plus a minor refund, but it didn't make up for the hassle and poor quality.

    Did not install one part and I spend HOURS online with Home Depot trying to get a refund. Three weeks later, still no refund. Every time I try to get it, I am forced to renter my personal information. Over and over they ask and did nothing. Gave me a reference number that was attached to nothing. I stopped trying after the fourth time.

    BUYER BEWARE: Summary of what forty-thousand-dollar installation with Home Depot will get you in southern Florida & Florida Keys. 1. It took the design consultant 2 months and 3 weeks to send a quote to replace indoor trim. 2. Our installation appointment was cancelled with NO notification, requiring ME to investigate and get the installation rescheduled. 3. The installation team didn’t show up on day one. 4. In-progress and final inspection wasn’t called into the city by the installer. I had to call the city inspector to find out that Home Depot didn’t call for the in-progress inspection and this wasn’t the first time they didn’t follow proper procedure. This led to me filing a BBB compliant. After finally getting the inspections called in and approved by the city, I received a call from the district installation manager. He stated that there were “small hiccups” with the installation process and offered two thousand dollars compensation for the installation department’s failures, but I had to sign a “Settlement & Release Agreement” that stated I will release Home Depot from all liability of every kind relating to the transaction. 5. My front door was installed with a large scratch, asked for it to be replaced. The installation manager would not inform me if it had been ordered or when it would arrive. 6. The installation team didn’t install the cover trim for the front door or French doors, instead left the cover pieces for ME to install. The cherry on top is our warranty is through Home Depot. I have no faith that they will provide the customer service required to maintain this warranty. The unprofessional employees and contractors I had to deal with included Peter Perez (district installation manager), Jorge Losada (Installation Coordinator), and the third-party installers (Sunset).

    One star is the lowest I can rate them. My entire project started off with lies from our salesman. Completion time of our project (custom pantry organizer) was longer than promised but they weren't affected because payment in full was demanded. And to top off the entire experience, they didn't complete the project as promised and failed to offer any type of reimbursement. If you take pride in your house and value your hard earned money , find someone else to do your work.
