I want to file this formal complaint against the company The Webnificent a web development company based in ********, ********** with an internet address www.thewebnificent.com. I paid this company $999.00 for a 6 month discounted package to take over of the development of my website www.escooteronlinestore.com that was transferred from Go Daddy the creator of the website last October 24, 2023. The website was transferred last 12/4/23 to Webnificent when the work started. Prior to this I signed a contract dated October 20, 2023 with Webnificent that stated on page 6 Under Refund conditions To qualify for a refund, your request must be submitted within the initial 90 days from the start date of the six month SEO service contract. Due to exorbitant prices being quoted for additional work I decided to cut off of my business relationship with the company as I could not afford them. I have asked for a refund but the company refused to refund. Since Webnificent refused to refund my money I sought the help of my credit card company **************** by filing a dispute. Since I filed a dispute with **************** the company has blocked my access to the backend of my website so that I so that I cant have any access nor see the results without my knowing or permission. Before this the company did provide the log in information for me to access my website. I was then accused by a company official of blackmailing and bashing them. I have no intentions of doing this nor to belittle them. I am just asking for my money back within the refund policy window of 90 days per contract. The company provided the work for 7 days only not counting weekends from 12/4/23 to 12/12/23. Since then I have called and sent countless emails asking for my money back. I was promised twice by phone that they will find a resolution to this but it was futile as the company refused to answer my emails to refund, return calls and to take down my website. Asking for my website back, money/control.Initial Complaint

I hired Webnificent to build my company website in Aug of 2022 and paid for a number of services that I never received. Hosting and website maintenance were substituted In lieu of services not rendenderd. In August 2023 I went to my website and noticed that it was no longer live. I contacted Webnificent and spoke with ***** who reported himself to be the Owner of the company. The 1st thing he said was that I needed to pay money. He did not apologize for any inconvenience or express any care that his company had been negligent in keeping their commitment. I advised ***** that as per an agreement that was made with **** (who is now a former employee) my hosting and maintenance is paid up through September 2024.During that conversation, ***** requested proof stating that he did not see anything to verify what was being stated.I forwarded ***** a copy of the email thread between myself and **** which clearly states that hosting and maintenance is covered. I waited for a week however he did not respond. I sent a f/u email on Aug 28th and as of today I have not heard back from ***** or any representative from the company. At this time I am asking that the company honor the written agreement and restore my website immediately. In addition, I am asking that before the end of the terms of the agreement (9/2024) that Webnificent furnish me with any requested information that would allow me to move my website over to a new hosting company..Initial Complaint

I am writing this complaint in hopes that it prevents other ******* entrepreneurs from falling victim to such a heinous scam. This is a fradulent criminal enterprise and they advertise services that they are not capable of providing, nor do they have the actual credentials to even do so. I was promised 1: they would build me a user friendly website that would serve to attract online traffic 2: this would be accomplished through various means such as specific key words (no such service has been rendered) 3: they charged me for social media accounts ie ****************** etc that would supposedly further bolster my business (social media is not appropriate for a healthcare office, and no such accounts have been created despite my paying for them when I did not know any better) 4: I have been triple charged for the same exact services such as SEO, which still has not commenced 5: They sent me a contract AFTER I paid them the first time and cite this contract in their arguments against me in email.I am mortified that I spent so much money, paid them in installments, and have nothing at all to show for it after spending $8,368 total. The bulk of this was paid to them (6k in August of this year) when I was under immense stress and not thinking straight, something they detected and capitalized on. I am still waiting on a post card from ****** because I expect my name to come up when searching for me as NP, like any healthcare office does upon a ****** search. Since August, I still have not received the post card from ****** and they allege that it is my fault. I paid in installments: $1,199+ $1,169 +$6000 but now realize every single service I have paid for was promised to me in their initial contract. So this means I paid 3 times for the same exact service. I have nothing but a website that is not functional, filled with countless errors despite my 50+ attempts at fixing these errors, and on top of it they are mocking me. I asked to delete the site- they refuseInitial Complaint

On Nov 4 2022 we hired The Webnificient to create our website. An hour later we found out we couldn't download material to create this site without an app that we didn't have on our computer. We then cancelled the purchase They told us we would have our refund of $432 within a few days. Now, 2 months and 10 lies later they still have our money. The new scam is that they can pay us back $100 a month starting the end of the month but only on the debit card we purchased it on.well, we had to cancel that card because a couple weeks ago a person representing someone from their company needed my doc security number and pin to issue my refund. They've lied telling me more than once saying the refund had been issued.now they say they will give me a one time payment of $200 or $100 a month refunded only to a credit card that they know was cancelled because of attempted fraudInitial Complaint

I was looking for a company to design a fully functional custom website. *************************** to make it public. They advertise as low as $349 so i decided to contact the webnificent. they ended up charging me $1,600 up front sayn that if i was not satisfied i could demand full rembuirsment at any moment so i accepted. As the process continued i was not happy with the website for it was just a generic page and was not costum or functional. Then they asked for a payment of $3,500 At this point i said how do we go from $349 to nearly 5,000 upfront and nothing in return. I obviously declined and asked for a full rembuirment of $ at least $1,200 of the $1,600 i had paid via a one time debit card payment. They have been beqting around the bush and have not rembuirst me any money. I wish to have a full $1,600 reimbuirstment to my account using the debit card the same way it came out i want it back asap. For they have said i could ask for a full reimburstment at any moment. I am asking for it. Plus no work has been done besides takn a generic non functioning format and emailing it to me. So they can't ask for anything
