I purchased a salvaged consigned vehicle from Brownfield Auto Auction Nov.2,2024. I didn't know the car was salvaged. After I bid on it, I paid the initial 300 deposit on the vehicle. They told me after handing them the money that the vehicle was on consignment. Their website says they will prep and do the advertising for a consigned vehicle, even wash it. It also says they pride themselves on fast paced transaction, giving you your vehicle and paperwork the same day. However, I was told that I had to wait till the following Monday to see if my bid was accepted. I protested and told them I didn't want the car. They wouldn't let me back out of the deal. The following Monday, I paid the balance of $ *****. I didn't think much because I remember receiving a temporary permit to drive the previous time I purchased a vehicle with expired tags. After leaving the lot, the car killed at a major intersection. I caused a bit of a backup. I paid to have it towed and a mechanic to inspect it. Ends up it had a bad transmission and acid spewing from the battery. The car is not registered with ****** even though marked as salvaged. I found no record of it as salvaged or damaged. They let me drive off in a dangerous vehicle. They could have given more info on the car other than a code of SADT. Soon afterwards, the car was towed due to expired tags. I ended up paying 247 for a new battery and 685 to release the car to impound because I couldn't afford to get it back. I called Brownfield to complain. I was told by the person on the phone that I was given time to inspect the car(you can't test drive them) and to speak to the manager at the auction on the following Saturday. When I told the manager of my dissatisfaction and the danger I posed driving the vehicle, he just said I should have done my homework before buying a car. Last, I'm confused because because rather than a title, I got a transfer of title instead with info saying it was a donation even though it was a consignment.

I paid around $900 for car $395 for start of registration. I have paid more money on fuel pumps $250, and batteries $200 and other basic things for maintenance of the car. The is*** that I am having is that the car purchased from their auction wasn't cleared from the lien process before I purchased the car. Due to that the *** isn't acknowledging the lien my registration is incomplete and due to that my car had been impounded. I tried as much as I could to prevent this from happening. Like numerous trips to the *** and the Brownfiejd auction location. The auction had me go through their third party *** recommendation (ARS) ******* registration services located in *********. ARS took my payment and paperwork to complete registration process and also was unsuccessful. I have now started the process of getting assistance from the investigation department at the ***. Brownfield auction told me to take them to court and *** them. I just want to bring awareness that they are up to no good and have poor costumer service skills and scamming people out of their money care free.
