    We purchased many window coverings and shutters from Alan's and are very happy with them. However, the automatic opening device on our kitchen blind stopped working. We had Alan come out to see if he could repair it (at the same time he was measuring for yet another new blind for a guest room) and he could not fix it on site so he took it with him. When he brought the new blind to install, he "forgot" the kitchen blind he had taken for repair. He said he would fix it and return it. Months went by without him returning it or responding to my repeated calls. He finally answered the phone one day and apologized and said he'd bring it back the next week. He didn't and now is again not answering the phone or returning calls. I secured a bid to replace the blind and it is $985.42. I need Alan to return my blind in working order (I was always willing to pay for the repair) or send me $985.42. I plan to file a small claims action, but would love to have you help resolve this before I have to take that step.

    We have repaired and installed the kitchen blind for Ms. S*****.  If there are any additional problems, please have her contact us directly.

    I am rejecting this response because:  Alan did bring the blind back and said he ordered a motor for it.  I'd like to have that installed before I dismiss this complaint.  He said it might take a week to get the motor.  I will let you know when it is totally complete.  You don't need to contact Alan again unless he doesn't come through with the motor.

    My Fault to have the roller shade so long without repairing it.

    New motor will be here within days and I will repair at customer's home.

    No charges for any parts or work.

    Sorry for the grief.
