First, the representatives are horrible. They are rude and unhelpful and do everything they can to keep you from speaking to a supervisor. I filled out a request to speak to a supervisor four times now and have yet to get a reply. I was told, before I moved out of state, that LifeSafer exists there and I can be serviced there and that the move wouldn't affect anything. When it was time to be serviced it turned out that the LifeSafer there did not service my specific device. I was told I would have to have the device removed and go with another provider. The catch is that only LifeSafer can remove the device, but the LifeSafer in my new state can't remove it, thus I would have to go out of state to have it removed. This is too much. I found a shop that removed it and installed me with a new provider. LifeSafer was aware of my move and I even gave them my new address. However, they began emailing me invoices to my old address. When these were finally forwarded to my new address, I was given instructions to return their device to avoid an $1800 penalty. I returned it promptly, glad to be rid of it, but I still received a high invoice for that time between removal and them receiving it. I was receiving disgusting texts about them taking me to collections and threats of preventing me from receiving my certification of completion when I'm done. I spent a lot of time and money dealing with the misinformation I was given in the first place about transitioning with LifeSafer to another state being painless. Every associate was rude and all I wanted was to break free from this nightmare of a company. If anything, they owe me for pain and suffering. I am trying to dispute these charges and no one will get back to me. I was very wronged since the beginning and on by this business.

On 5/18/2024 I was charged $241.00 for a calibration that usually costs $92.00 a month. I was told they are charging extra fees because I missed an appointment with them on 4/4/2024 but I did not miss the appointment. I was there for the appointment on 4/4/2024 and should not be charged for missing the appointment when I was there for the appointment. They have cameras at the San Jose Lifesaver interlock location where I had my appointment and if they check the camera footage they will see that I was there for my scheduled appointment on 4/4/2024 at 3:45pm. There’s no reason I should be getting charged extra when I did not miss the appointment. I was there and they can see it for themselves if they check the cameras.

I had a lifesafer IID installed in my car in late March 2022. Shortly after installion the push button wouldn't start my car after passing blow test. It would only start after about 5min of multiple passed test. This continued until finally it wouldn't start at all after a passed blow test. This was on June 27th 2022 when I came to my car after a 12hr shift.
I called lifesafer, told them the issue and that I was getting it towed to a mechanic. They sent me the forms the mechanic needed to fill out and submit before disconnecting. I had to pay for the tow fee($200.00) and diagnostic($253.00). The mechanic said that after disconnecting the device the car started just fine.
On June 28th I called lifesafer to explain that the issue was their device. The same day the mechanic informed me that lifesafer was supposed to send a technician to his shop and fix the device, but they never showed. I missed a full week of work, resulting in a loss of wages. On July 6th lifesafer installed a new device. While on site, lifesafers technician said that the old device was faulty, so after that appointment I called lifesafer to get reimbursed. They asked for receipts, and I submitted them. Only to be told that I wouldn't be reimbursed for fallacious reasons. The car broke down again two more times after that, resulting in more missed work, loss of wages, and one more tow fee($200.00). The last date the device failed was in late Nov. 2022. My job and commitments at church are far too important to miss, so I financed a brand new vehicle on Oct. 3 2022. Its a 2022 Subaru Forester and only had 15mi on it when I bought it. Now at approximately 1,200mi, not even one month since the device tranfer, on Sat Nov. 19th upon leaving work my car wouldn't start after passing a blow test. Then on Nov. 21st the car wouldnt start at all and lifesafer says I could wait until as late as wed, the 23rd of Nov to get assistance. This resulted in 2 more missed days of work, and now my job is in jeopardy.
