Rating for the office staff, not the doctors. I was told from multiple ppl that I had to have an appointment in order to receive med refills. Back and forth with ppl from billing and with the assistants. Had an appointment scheduled for a month out. When I asked if it was normal for patients to be okayed to be off their meds like that they just said it was policy and hopefully there’s be a last minute cancellation. they made it sound like they had discussed it with the doctor, and I had no alternative Luckily, there was a cancellation and within the first five minutes of my appointment, I was told that no one had discussed my med refill issue with the doctor despite them saying that they did, and that there would be no reason why he would not have refilled my meds and that it would not be OK for patients to run out of their meds.I have tried multiple times to reach out yet still am getting billing reminders for the 10 minute appointment that I didn’t even need to have. I really hope that other people haven’t found themselves in my situation. I am lucky that there was a last-minute cancellation because I am not sure how things would’ve gone if I had been without my meds for a month. If I were to worsen, I would hope that my family would hold Pacific psychiatry liable for not communicating properly and for allowing a patient to go off their meds and then trying to gate-keep meds through an appointment paywall. Very disappointed. I doubt my words will mean anything, however. luckily my doctor is very kind and I don’t think that he is actually seeing any of the communication I have tried to make with him through the office staff and the patient portal. I hope no one suffers without their meds because the office staff can’t communicate. Please, care about your patients. Listen to them. We may be a little unbalanced, but we’re human beings who deserve to be treated with respect and decency. If you can’t communicate or listen, don’t work in a medical office.
