I bought 10 tutoring sessions from this company for my daughter. First time she went to the tutor center,(and I did tell the owner which subjects my daughter needed help with) her tutor didnt know how to work the problems in algebra 2 & the tutor said she never took US history! The tutor was apologetic, my daughter said, but I was upset! I notified *** of the issue the following day, she said she would credit me for that session and set up my daughter w/ a college student who apparently had on his rsum that he could tutor algebra 2 and US history. The same thing happened this tutor, he had to look up on the Internet how to do the problems for algebra 2 and still he couldnt explain how they got the answer and they never even got to US history! When I picked up my daughter and she told me that and I was utterly appalled, I couldnt believe that I just shelled out $480 for 10 sessions of tutoring and my daughter has gotten nowhere with two of her tutors and I informed the owner the next day.My daughter told me it was a waste of time and never wanted to go back.I would let her think about it over Xmas break. I ended up forgetting about the tutoring and the money which I forked out for it bc I bought an app on her phone which help her.A month ago I try contact her about five times leaving vm regarding wanting a refund, she never returned my calls. So I finally got a hold of her on the 6th try and I was very upset at that point and asked her for my $ back and she told me since I was talking to her like that she was not going to refund me any $ at all! I told her that she didnt deliver on her promise of tutoring my daughter and gave me credits for the 2 sessions so she should refund all $ or I would see her in civil court. So if you cant help me,I will have to take her to civil court. I am disabled and $480 is a lot of money for me! Please help me with this, Please help so I dont have to take her to court! There was no contract, but I have my bank statement.

On 11/19/21, *************************** purchased 10 tutoring sessions for $480 that she could use any time during the ***** school year. We spoke via phone regarding subjects her daughter needed help in. They included *********, US History, & Chemistry. I offered different tutors for the different subjects. She insisted one tutor help with all. I explained that each of our tutors has their specialities and that I did not currently have one that I felt was strong in all 3 of those subjects. I asked which subject was most important. She said that Algebra 2 was. So we decided to go with a tutor for *********, and they MIGHT be able to help with the other subjects.

Her first session was 11/30/21. ***** did call me the next day to inform me that the session was not very successful. So I immediately credited her account. She scheduled another session for that same day with a different tutor. I did not receive any more communications from ***** or her daughter until 6/16/22. I answered her call and she told me that her daughter never ended up using the rest of the sessions and wanted a refund. I was not currently at my desk, and since it had been so long since our last conversation, I told her that I would need to look at her account and I'm sure that we could work something out. I was unable to locate her account, so on 6/22/22, I informed her of this and asked for any different emails she might have signed up under. She gave me this additional information, and I agreed to look at her account. I was extremely busy that week, and regret not being able to get back to her immediately. On 6/28/22, ***** sends me a long text telling me that I will give her a full refund by that Friday, or else she would leave me negative reviews and take me to court.

I never advertised, implied, nor verbally agreed, to refund any amount should sessions not be used by the end of the school year. Since she was threatening me at this point, I told her I was no longer willing to work any type of refund out.
