      I am reaching out to you today regarding Express Pawn Shop located at *****************************************************************************. Unfortunately, my layaway was mistakenly cancelled by the store association and the problem was never resolved. In May of 2022, I gave Express Pawn Shop a down payment of $300 for a brief case that cost $1700. The layaway was for six months. The transaction was completed by ******, the store manager. For some reason, the item was marked by the store manager as a pick up for June 30, 2022. I brought this to the managers attention and asked him to correct the date. He sent me a date of November 6, 2022, as the pickup date for the layaway. I went to the store on October 29th, 2022, to retrieve the item. At that time, the layaway was cancelled, and the item was no longer on hold. I was told by the assistant manager my credit consisted of $63. This assistant manager tried to charge me a stocking fee for an item that was placed back on the shelf before its pick up date. Per the contract, they had an obligation to ensure the item remained on layaway until November 6, 2022. That was not done. I asked the manager for my money back after he tried to argue with me. He refused to provide my $300 refund. On 11/02/2022, I called the store to speak with the manager. ****** answered the call, I informed him of the situation and he stated he would contact the area manager and get back with me about my refund. In an effort to save the store's reputation ****** placed the item back on layaway instead of honoring my request. I specifically stated I was no longer interested in the layaway once it was improperly cancelled. He tried to ask me for the remaining $1400. I am not interested in another deal. Express Pawn Shop breached the contract when they cancelled the layaway and placed the item back on the shelf before November 6, 2022. My intention is to resolve this amicably but I will fight for my money and just due in this matter. In May, I witnessed ****** do this
