    On 11/7/22, I asked **** (Cal State Plumbing) to come take a look at a leak coming from my a pipe on my tankless water heater. He identified that the condensation drain pipe was not attached properly. He asked whether I wanted him to fix it and I asked him how much it would be. He said *** and I agreed. He then proceeded to apply some glue to the fitting and re-attach the pipe.

    However that night, we discovered the leak was still a problem, and in fact had gotten worse. Our hot water shut off entirely. I asked Marc to come back since his fix was clearly not effective and he told us to seek help from a different plumbing company. I then asked him for a refund since he did not properly fix the leak and possibly caused damage to our water heater (which I did not try to blame him for). His response was that the *** was a "trip fee" to diagnose the problem and could not be refunded. This was obviously a lie since he explicitly asked me whether I wanted him to fix it before charging me anything. When I told him this, he literally said "you can take me to court".
