    I have been renting an apartment from Canyon View Properties in *********** ******** since July of 2020. Leases are renewed annually, and this is my third leasing period with them. Starting in August they added extra charges to the account without notifying me- originally for lapse of renters insurance. I was able to prove through insurance that a certified copy was sent to them proving coverage for the entire time period they marked as lapsed. They credited the charges and it seemed solved. Today, I cane home from work to a notice in my door that was marked "Hand delivered" notifying me I had to pay $300 in charges and late fees for a notice of eviction would be filed in three days. This was delivered at the end of the business day before a holiday weekend, so no one is available at the property office to discuss the "charges". The charge in question has never been on the account before, and was billed this month. Allegedly it is a fee from the utility company, per our lease the rental company is supposed to notify 30 days in advance of incurred charges I am supposed to be paid. I now have a $150 late fee for a charge I was not told to expect, no way to dispute any of the charges, and a "delinquent" account pending eviction after a spotless rental history.
