The short summary is that Storquest, as a company, is predatory in its practices. Storquest lures people in with a low "special" rate that they always seem to be able to promote which only lasts the first two months. There is nothing special about this promotion if it's always offered. Advertisements on the Storquest website even uses language such as "Lock In Your Rate" to imply that rent would stay consistent, yet there are no asterisks in that message to point you towards the bottom of the page to the claim stating that rent is subject to change. An average person can expect this kind of business practice from department stores, but not rental units. People who have lived in apartments their whole lives, as well as used other storage rental spaces, operate with the general understanding that rent stays reasonably consistent for the duration of your stay. After you've moved in all of your stuff, they jack the price up by 100 dollars over the course of three months. Again, the terms do note that each month's rate can change, but change implies they can ************, and to only have them increase at such a drastic rate with no explanation is purposefully disingenuous. Also, YOU have to reach out to THEM to ask them why the rent increases as there is never even a timely notice of rate increases like the terms state. Instead, you become aware of an increase when they send you the next bill. Long-term renters will only be robbed here. The public deserves to know that rent will only increase, and punish Storquest by loss of business for such offensively greedy practices. There is no justice as long as these disingenuous promotions are working in tandem with Storquest's predatory rent increase practices. Either replacing "Promotional Rate" with "First Two Month's Rate" or just having REASONABLE increases would be more fair to the consumer. It'd be nice to edit "Rental rates are subject to change" to "Rental rates may increase" with more visibility too.

In May 2024, I called a company representative to discuss taking out a storage room in their location in *********, **. The representative told me that rents would be at a fixed rate. With this understanding, I took out a room for storage over the summer. For the month of August, the rent was hiked 45% over what it had been. I called the company and was informed that the previous representative had not given accurate information and that after 3 months the company could unilaterally increase rates. Furthermore, the location upon arrival had no working elevator, a broken keypad entry, and one of the main doors to the building had been propped open with a brick during when the building was staffed.

The agreement I have with this storage facility is $28/mo for a 5x5 unit. The agreement states that the company can increase rates from time to time but the woman who signed me up, the site manager, repeatedly assured me that there would be no hikes for new customers for at least 6 months. And afterward, maybe a 20% at the most or, $5.60. I have been there for 3 months and they hiked my rent 57% to $49/mo.! That is blatant fraud, IMO! So, now I will file a complaint with the Colorado AG'S office. Very annoying but I cannot allow myself to be ripped off. If anyone else has had this experience with this facility, Storquest in general, or any storage facility in ********, please file a complaint with the Colorado AG's office. It is very easy to do. The form is online. As a community, we need to stop this dishonest predatory practice by storage facilities.

This storage unit I engaged after the sudden death of my father, a long time ********* resident, from ***** in 2021 when I was finally able to clear his house, has exorbitantly raised rates, then when it suffered a flooding disaster early in 2024, has done virtually nothing to advise long distance or local users of its status. The elevators do not work. The place is infested with mold from flooded units, They have some help on site who do not speak English, One email was sent at the beginning of the disaster. No communications have been sent since that time to help people plan how to escape this terrible place. I live in **, my sister, who has two units, lives in ********, It is unacceptable that they continue to charge exorbitant rents and do not help people make informed decisions on how to proceed.

      1. In August 2023, Storquest stole my possessions in my unit, abd claimed they auctioned them off, not providing me any validation. I tried to buy them back myself but my unit would not show in the storagetreasures.com website. Storquest erroneously claimed I could not buy back my property, which was another illegal tactic they used. TMobile strategically & illegally stopped my autopay in July and turned off my service 2weeks after they stopped my autopay, August 2023, refusing to process my payment. I submitted a complaint on that today. 2. My lease was illegally terminated last year. I had to file a small claim due to their refusal to abide by the law. 3. SMALL CLAIM **** NO. NNH-22-*******. STORQUEST NEITHER APPEARED OR ANSWERED. I TIMELY MOTIONED FOR DEFAULT. The clerk issued Default yet the court deliberately pulled it from their record. Denying my motion. THE **** WAS OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE.2. More Obstruction Of Justice occurred by Federal District Court when I attempted to obtain an injunctive order, aka in this circumstance a Writ of Mandamus. The judge instead made it a full blown case, scheduling out hearings - and refused to change it even though that was records fraud. Neither Storquest or the ********* Court made appearances, thus defaulting! I filed a Motion To Appeal IFP on Fed Case cv-**-01101.-CSH. I would not agree to CMECF filing. He denied it YET SECRETLY "filed appeal on behalf of plaintiff" A very illegal "Devil's chessboard" trick! 3. The 2d circuit Court frauded records, changed case managers since *************************** was very helpful. For months I was not able to get through on their phones - most likely an cyber crime trick. Yet they would not respond to my emails either. They split up.my appeal into 2 cases, [****, ****] giving me a very hard time. ****** worked on that problem, caused by his superiors. They took him off my case without telling me. 4. I need to mail you supporting doc's. Storquest HQ is **********************************************************

My complaint pertains to an absence in due diligence of communication from the StorQuest corporate office in ************, **.For nearly two years, I rented a storage unit from the StorQuest self storage facility located at ***********************************************************. My unit was broken into approximately of August 2022. Upon speaking with law enforcement, it was brought to my attention that other units at the same location were also broken into. Eventually, I was granted access to the suspect's unit at the StorQuest self storage facility on ******** St. and it was apparent this individual had been stealing valued possessions for a number of years. Upon communicating with the StorQuest district manager, it was brought to my attention that there was a faulty alarm system in the StorQuest facility on ******** St. To provide a more detailed context, the alarm system should have triggered once the door to my unit was forcibly opened as my access code was not utilized to enter the StorQuest facility. The store manager was aware of the issue and stated he raised the issue numerous times to the district manager. I did not receive a direct response from the district manager when I addressed the faulty alarm system to her. Therefore, I chose to reach out to the StorQuest corporate office to seek an explanation on their end. I found it concerning that I could not locate the StorQuest corporate office publicly. Rather, I had to request the address through the district manager. I wrote to the StorQuest corporate office on three separate occasions by mail; I have not been acknowledged in the least. I am attaching an email of the StorQuest corporate address provided by the district manager, whom works for The William Warren Group. The address does not match the address listed in the BBB drop down list. I would simply like an response from the StorQuest corporate office; however, it appears I was provided the incorrect address by the district manager and would to know why.

I had a storage unit at this business. The customer service that was given to me was horrible. The behavior of the over all supervisor was very aggressive.I was made to feel uncomfortable about my things and some of my items;which were clothing had holes in them.My financial status was often a part of the way this establishment viewed me. My bill was not late,I made every attempt to be an excellent tenant.Evicting me,because of personal reasons is not in compliance with what is governed by laws set in place within ****************************.The idea of this business was to get my personal items and for me to lose everything. They made every attempt to make me lose my things. Which included intimidation,a huge Hispanic Man was sent out to give me an eviction and the situation was very aggressive. The manager is lazy and does not want customers using the bathroom. The other Caucasian woman at the store was having a relationship with the man working within the establishment. The male (Caucasian Man) would harass me. He would expel gas in the elevator and engage in sexual activity with his co-worker.This was an uncomfortable situation, because if I needed to take care of business, while I was at the facility,I could not because the male would not give me enough time to handle anything. The staff is lazy and they will make every effort not to assist you if they can. I had to call the police, because of the aggressive behavior of the staff.I did not rent a storage at this location with a desire to cause trouble of experience problems. I was evicted for no reason and this company is not a good company. The employees are rude and do not respect customers. This is not a reputable business or an honest business. I would like a refund for my last month at this storage, the reason I paid my bill and then after the bill was paid. I received and eviction notice.
