Unethical and discriminating company against females.I am writing to express my concerns regarding Provident Funding ****************'s handling of my request for paperwork related to my loan. I was led to believe by customer service representatives and a manager that my signature on the documentation was forged. However, upon filing a complaint for the denial of my paperwork, their legal team contacted me and denied any previous assertions made by their staff, stating that they never indicated my signature was forged. Instead, they sent me blank documents that I had requested. Throughout this process, they have repeatedly stated that they are protecting my husband, failing to acknowledge that this is also my loan. I believe that this behavior reflects discrimination against me as a female borrower, undermining my rights and involvement in this matter.

I would give Provident Funding a negative rating if possible. They are without a doubt, the worst company I've ever dealt with. Their customer service is deplorable, and they refuse to waive late fees even when the situation is a result of of their own policies or those of the bank. I checked my account four days after the payment was to be pulled from my bank. and it showed that the payment had gone through. Yet, I later received an email stating that the payment hadn't gone through and was considered late. this happened twice now. What's infuriating is that they only contact me once it's already classified as late, rater then addressing the issue proactively. Their response to my concerns has been nothing short of dismissive, they hide behind their "rigid policies", refusing to offer any flexibility or understanding. It's clear from their numerous negative reviews. Provident Funding appears to be a condescending, money-grabbing company with no regard for customer service. Save yourself the trouble and avoid borrowing from them. there are far better, more reliable options available.

Contacted them about working with me through a temporary financial hardship and they didn't want to help us out at all. Being a long term customer I was enraged by their lack of compassion. Looking for a new company to switch to,

Refinance costs were almost $10k and not disclosed until the final signing. I recently sold my house and paid off the loan and then still took $3,650 from my escrow account for lender forcezed hazard insurance. This was not disclosed to me until after the fact and was conviently the exact amount t I had in escrow. I have paid the loan of and still recieve phone calls and emails about purchasing other products or referring friends and family. BEWARE! Worked with another lender for my new mortgage and it was a completely different experience. Also, the mortgage reps on their customer service line are clueless and unable to answer basic questions about your loan or refinancing. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

It has been a terrible experience dealing with Provident throughout the lending process. If it were possible to give zero or negative stars it would be more representative of Provident and the experience dealing with them. The company is next to impossible to contact during the process. They do not seem to be paying attention to any of the documentation submitted, several times requesting letters to state things clearly visible in the provided documentation (no escrow, employment address, bank information, no HOA just to name a few). Several times they seemed to be challenging that 'people like us' had the right to live where we wanted to and/or needed justification to, in a particular neighborhood in direct violation of the law. When we specified no escrow account, several times they tried to slip it in like they thought we would not notice. The last time, even without an escrow account specified, they tried to slip in a year of insurance and tax payment (that weren't even correct) into the closing settlement payment. Even following verification of employment from banking statements, pay stubs and verbally with employer, they repeatedly challenged that 'people like us' could do what we do, make what we make and could be working remotely (even in a pandemic). Even with electronic correspondence authorization, they continually send documentation to the property address(even before closing) rather than electronically or to the secure post office box specified in all documentation.

I missed one payment in 2020. Instead of me owing simply my one missed payment, they've been charging me $25 late fees every month since so basically interest on my ONE missed payment in 15 years. They offer ridiculous solutions, not sympathetic at all!! Once I get from under that one missed payment I'm going to someone else. This company is absolutely horrible!!
