With my concurrence, my 90-year old mother hired an independent adult day care provider (YourPlaceHomeCare, of ***************, **) to assist taking care of my 90-year old father in their home in ***********, **. My father has **** ******* **** *************************** which partially pays for his adult day care. The sole proprietor and care-giver at YourPlaceHomeCare, had a great sales pitch and her brochure is covered with various credentials including the respected "BBB Accredited Business". Our verbal agreement was my Mom would pay the YourPlaceHomeCare care-giver via a personal check, each week or day, and in return she would complete the ***** mandated **************** Provider form, so my parents on fixed income could receive reimbursement for funds (~ $2,300) given to their care giver between Oct - Nov 2024. When I called YourPlaceHomeCare care-giver a week ago about the status of the invoices to *****, she soon launched into a litany of unsubstantiated and outlandish accusations about my Mom. Not worth repeating. She finished with "I am not going to lift a finger!" regarding the un-submitted vouchers. ***** will only accept their form signed by the Care Provider. We have the invoices she gave my Mom (stamped PAID) and copies of the checks she signed and cashed. We need BBB assistance to convince YourPlaceHomeCare to be professional, honor our agreement and submit the invoices to *****. For convenience, I have filled out the forms (Oct and Nov), All YourPlaceHomeCare need do is print out the two forms sign them (or can be done electronically) and return to BBB to forward to my family for submittal to ***** and eventual reimbursement of funds. See three attachments.

In Response to your complaint today, YourPlace ********* does not submit billing, collect from insurance policies, or complete any forms for reimbursement from insurance companies after the initial paper work is complete and approval has been done. I explained that to both you and your mother. I did sign the **** ******* form and I offered to send it certified mail for you so that I could include my social security number, but your mother strongly opposed this and everyone understood that I do not give out my social security number to anyone. I also spent unpaid personal time on the phone returning **** ********* calls to answer questions which your mother also opposed as she did not like them calling me. As you placed in your complaint letter, you did receive PAID stamped invoices from YourPlace for proof of payments that included dates, times, and amount for services as proof of payments to submit to your insurance. This is as far as I go. I am not a billing and collection agency. My focus with you has always been about the care for your father in our discussions. You personally witnessed the end day of my leaving where your mother placed a log on the 3ed step down the deck stairway that I use when leaving or coming. Your mother placed this log on the stairway hoping I would fall down the stairs and physically harm myself. And I could have. As I was leaving you and I both saw that log as i turned and looked up at you and the look on your face showed that you saw it too. What I later informed you on in our phone call was the rest of the working picture....... Your dad called me " White Girl " every time he referred to me or called me. Your mother accused my family of "Chaning your people in the bottom of the boat and bringing you here against your will" she asked me "Where my family got our money" "You owe us" "Why did you all drag us out of our houses and hurt us, beat us, ***** us" Life must be so hard for you" with grunts and sarcasm sounds. These comments continued through the 2 months of my care for your father. I did my best to serve you all and I'm sure anyone reading this might understand that I did my best as I continually tried to care, serve, and have a conversation with empathy; however, nothing I say is going to help or amend what our countries history has done. I worked hard to serve your family with the highest ethics and integrity. My work ethics and integrity show in my reviews since my business began in 2009. I am sorry that you are unhappy that I am very unwilling to do one more thing in the process of your collecting from **** ******* but when I saw that your mother placed a log on the step in hopes of my slipping and falling down your flight of stairs to a cement walkway on a sloped hill, I knew that was the last straw for me. You are right, I will not lift one more finger in your process of collecting from your insurance company. And nowhere does it say in all of my services that I collect money for my client, nor would I ever say that this is part of my services. You stated that I launched into accusations not worth repeating, Well I feel this is worth repeating as it shows the daily atmosphere of the 2 months I provided service to the end where your mother tried to physically hurt me in her 90 year old of age as you want to point out. Just because a person is 90 does not mean that they could not inflict permanent harm. Again, I am sorry that you are unhappy that my services do not extend into billing and collections for your insurance policy.

    Professionally, *** *******
