**** has moved away from bin usage in our area to dumpsters (for both Trash and Recycling). This was prompted by street-wide dumping in our area by non-residents. These new dumpsters can be locked (and are), but are bulkier and cannot be stored in a garage. The new cost of service is three times the original service cost due to this change.Ever since **** made the switch to these new dumpsters, our waste collection has been incredibly inconsistent. There are many weeks where the dumpsters are not emptied by the waste collection individuals. We have called **** repeatedly to complain about this and seek a resolution. We are consistently given the same response that they will file an internal work order ticket -- or they have to schedule a non-routine pick-up of our waste. After many occurrences we have attempted to escalate this issue to higher management, but they have evaded our call and will not return our calls. Given that we had no choice in the transition to this new, much more expensive waste collection scenario (dumpsters with locks), we expect EDCO to follow-through with their end of consistent collection. If they are unable to enforce their own schedule and policies with their work force, then they should be reimbursing us in a pro-rated manner for the weeks where they are unable to collect refuse. This is too expensive of a service to be unreliable or inconsistent.
