I bought a refrigerator that I was told was new and just had one Dent. I spent over $1400 and it broke within one week. They told me that I needed to call Whirlpool because it was under warranty. I calledWhirlpool and got their contractor out to check it who told me that it was not fixable and that it had been tampered with And I should buy a new refrigerator. The refrigerator was for an ****** and I need it as soon as possible. I ordered another refrigerator from a local near the house who took the refrigerator to their yard. I bought another refrigerator from them for over $1400 and it took a week to be delivered . Since it is an ******, it has cost me much stress time and money. I told unique appliances. They need to come and get their and to refund my money, but they refuse. I am seeking my money back from unique appliances..

Hi response to claim. Customer purchased top bottom refrigerator. Scratch dent floor  model. With full  manufacture warranty

Refrigerator was $989 purchase date 3/22/25

delivery and installation services were $350 which was done

called back on 4/1/25  19 days  after stating   fridge was not cooling properly then we told customer  we can exchange or call manufactures warranty but if we exchange $350 fee will be recharged its a delivery service. She decided to call manufactures warranty  which refrigerator does have full warranty  from whirpool tech went out to repair  if  they cannot fix they will replace thats what manufactures is for . Customer them call back didnt want to deal with  whirpool we told her since u registered warranty and activated under ur name you have to call whirpool so  they can help you  store policy all sales are final we offered option of exchange before activating warranty but customer did not want to pay delivery fee $350 so she took the manufactures warranty instead at this time customer need to address  herself directly with manufacture warranty to fix or replace her refrigerator ,after she called saying refrigerator was at another address  dont understand why but at this moment we cannot do anything since customer activated manufactures warranty now has to complete process of repair or replace by whirpool manufacturer warranty thank you ??

I disagree. I have an ****** which is why I needed that fridge as fast as possible. They told me I needed to call Whirlpool, I was never told I could get an exchange. I called Whirlpool and finally someone came out. It was an authorized Whirlpool repairman. He said "someone had tampered with the copper piece" and that he "could not repair it". He said he would take pictures and write a report for Whirlpool because the fridge is so new. I called the store I bought it from and said I just want my money back because I didn't just change my mind. I HAD to get a fridge in there asap since it's an ******. They told me again that I "had to get an authorized Whirlpool repairman out to take a look". I said "I already did that and he recommended that I just get a new fridge because this one had been tampered with". In the meantime after ALL my wasted time on phones and waiting on hold with Whirlpool then getting no help I HAD to go to another store to buy a fridge which took 5 days to arrive. They removed the fridge that was broken and they put it in their facility to hold for this company to come get. I was not about to hire movers to move it back to their store after I already spent $1400 then had to buy another fridge for 1400 Again. So I called the store again and said "I want my money back" to which they again said I need to "call Whirlpool and get a tech to inspect it". Why would I do that Again after I already wasted all my time getting one out there already? It does not make sense, and it is not right that I expect a working fridge for $1400 and get a broken fridge. I should get my money back. And I had to miss out on bookings because I had a broken fridge not to mention hours of my wasted time.

The refrigerator purchased was new floor model

which has manufacturers warranty meaning if anything is wrong the manufacturer will fix it or replace it or refund your purchase, however thats through manufacturer warranty not the store  . If a technician went out  that means refrigerator has manufacturers warranty which you activated ,thats why you have to go through whirpool tech had to make report to whirpool then they conta you with options however we do not work for ******** customer has to contact manufacturers warranty direct just like you did the service call with whirpool. Call them directly they should have you information with the resolution tags what manufacturer warranty is for thank you

We went into unique appliances in hopes of finding a good refrigerator with warranty. Before we started looking we had asked which refrigerators had warranty they told us all the fridges have warranty with ** for a year and so we picked the current fridge we have. We had asked the sales person 3 more times about the fridge warranty before buying the fridge they continued saying we have a year warranty with *** Before we left we asked how to apply the warranty they told us we have to call ** I order to apply the 1 year warranty. I called ** and notified them we wanted to apply the warranty and they told us our fridge doesnt apply because the serial number was scratched off therefore we contacted unique appliance and they said it is not their fault our fridge was no warranty and there is nothing they can do about it and that they dont have any serial number or information to give us from the fridge they sold to us. We made it very clear we wanted a fridge with warranty from beginning to end and they lied to us. We wouldnt have bought a fridge for $1,900 if it had no type of warranty.
