On March 23, 2025, I purchased a Dodge Durango. The dealer claimed the issue was resolved, and I picked up the vehicle on March 25, 2025. However, I drove it directly to my trusted mechanic, who informed me the vehicle was unsafe to drive.I contacted the dealer, who met me at my mechanics shop and attempted to pressure me into keeping the vehicle. I refused and returned the car that same day, March 25, 2025. The dealer issued a refund check for my down payment. However, I later discovered the dealer had fraudulently drafted a contract with ******************, falsely listing a vehicle I was still making payments on as a trade-in, which I never agreed to. This constitutes contract fraud. ****************** was notified, investigated, and canceled the contract. I suspect this dealer may be engaging in similar fraudulent practices with other customers. On May 6, 2025, I received a notice from the City of ********* regarding a parking ticket issued to the Dodge Durango on April 19, 2025, under my name. I contacted the City of ********* and clarified that I did not possess the vehicle on that date, as it was returned to the dealer on March 25, 2025, and the contract was canceled. It appears the dealer either failed to transfer the vehicles title out of my name or allowed another customer to operate it under my registration, resulting in the ticket. The City of Inglewood recommended filing a complaint with the BBB. I have repeatedly attempted to contact the dealer to resolve this issue, but he laughs, hangs up, or ignores my calls and texts. I have retained records of these communications as evidence. This situation is serious, and the dealers actions suggest ongoing fraudulent behavior. I request the BBBs assistance in resolving the unauthorized ticket issued in my name and investigating the dealers practices. The vehicle was never in my possession after March 25, 2025, and the contract was voided, so I should not be held liable for this ticket.
