    Date of transaction: March 4, 2025 Amount of money paid to business: ****** CAD What the business committed to provide: A camera filter for video call platforms What the nature of the dispute is:I am writing to formally dispute a charge made to my credit card for the FilteronMe app.The app advertised a 7-day free trial for its **************** Upon selecting this offer, I was directed to a page requesting my credit card information. Based on the clear wording of "7-day free trial," I reasonably expected no charges would be applied until the trial period ended.However, immediately after entering my card details, I was charged. When I contacted the merchant, they falsely claimed that the free trial would not request credit card information, which is not accurate the app did require it. Upon further communication, the merchant refused to assist and stated they would no longer respond to refund inquiries.This practice is deceptive. A free trial, by definition, should not involve immediate billing. Many reputable companies offer free trials without charging until the trial period concludes. Charging customers immediately under the guise of a "free trial" constitutes misleading advertising and unauthorized billing.Given these facts, I am requesting a full reversal of the charge and a refund to my account.Please investigate and resolve this matter. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter.
