In March, 2023 I hired LogoCorps to build and host (for 2 years) a website for my business. LogoCorps advertises its services as experienced professionals at building websites. Around May of 2023 the website was completed, after numerous delays and incompetence's due to LogoCorps' team, went "live" to the public. In or around September of 2023 I requested that LogoCorps retract my website from "live" until further notice because I was seeking employment and having a business may appear negative to prospective employers. After landing a job in February 2024, in March, 2024 through April 18, 2024 I attempted to contact LogoCorps on several occasions through emails and telephone calls to restore my website to go "live" to the public. On April 18, 2024, I was contacted by a LogoCorps representative "*****" who informed me that in order to restore the website there would be $350 fee because features of the website were "out-of-place"; they are encountering technical issue; and the website contains "errors and bugs". I told ***** that I was not informed of a restoration fee when I requested that my website be taken off-line. I also informed her that I have another business website with a different host and that I made the same request that my website be taken off-live during my job search and that within 24 hours of my request for my website to be restored, it was done so perfectly without no charge.I informed ***** that I would not be paying a restoration fee for a website that I already paid LogoCorps to build and host. I further stated that as my host, LogoCorps is responsible for providing me a functional and secured website. The maintenance of LogoCorps platform, in order to host my website, is LogoCorps responsibility. She informed me that LogoCorps will not be restoring my website until I pay this fee, holding my website hostage and causing me to lose potential business.

I had *********** (LOGO CORPS) create a logo for me. They used some bait and switch tactics. When I signed up no one mentioned all the extra things they said I needed when I tried to get the logo released to me which is paid $220 for a simple graphic. The extra money totaled over $1,000. I explained thats ridiculous and was never mentioned to me during the process of getting my logo. I finally agreed to at least sign up for the copyright when they advised was $199 which I paid on 11/24/23 and came out of my bank the next day. They advised I would get this in the next couple weeks. After a couple months I was getting frustrated. They then said I had to fill out the form for the copyright which is all generic info they have. I called them to fill it out with them over the phone and sent it in. Im now being told I put them as the owner of the artwork but its me. This form is generic, they can just fill it out themselves and make the correction. No signature or date needed. Im so frustrated at this point I dont even care if its copyright and I want my money back.

Miscommunication arose when the client anticipated ** to complete the copyright forms on their behalf, contrary to our established protocol. Subsequently, after a period of client unavailability, a complaint was lodged. Following our explanation and request for requisite details, we have now obtained the necessary information. As a result, the process of securing copyright for her logo has been promptly initiated, aiming to resolve the matter satisfactorily.

I am rejecting this response because:

At no point was I asked to complete a copyright form in the brief. It was only after several attempts via calls and emails was I then informed this form needed to be completed by me although the information was on file again during the brief. Not only did I choose to not take action on my own based on my limited knowledge of copyright, I chose to follow up with a call asking for a team member to help me fill out the form and making sure the information was properly conveyed, received and executed as advised. It was not until another attempt to inquire on that copyright status that I was informed I filled out something incorrectly. At that point the reasonable effort to get the copyright done was null and void. You state you have the information needed to proceed with the copyright. As *** had no resolution to this in a reasonable time, Im not willing to state I agree to resolve this when the copyright has not been furnished to me.

    Sincerely,
