      As an elderly consumer I purchased an ILiving scooter on Amazon from this company for the full advertised price of $1,691. After I received this product and with limited use I also had to purchase new batteries for $500 + for my ILiving v8 scooter I purchased believing it was new. When I contacted the company for additional product support I was told that even though I had purchased this scooter on Amazon , which was listed as new, that it was actually a used scooter sold to me by an UNIDENTIFIED THIRD PARTY. ILiving further informed me in writing that it was my responsibility to call Amazon or ILiving to insure the scooter I purchased believing was new was actually new and not used. ILiving never informed who the unidentified third party was that sold me the scooter as new and shipped it to me after collecting full price. The web site on Amazon I used to purchase this scooter never mentioned used products or any other company other than ILIving. It is my belief that I paid full price for an ILiving scooter as advertised on Amazon with their product information but unknowingly received a used scooter. I contacted both Amazon and ILiving and have not been able to reconcile my problem. I am filing this complaint in an attempt to warn other consumers about this possible bait and switch which advertises new products but sells and ships you a used product. The company is barely responsive and believes that the consumer should not rely on their product representations and professional advertising. Without calling the company to insure you are actually buying a new product. In denying my requests for parts and service I have decided that I owe other elderly consumers and other consumers the benefit of my difficulties. I payed the full purchase price for a new scooter and received a used scooter from an unidentified third party without a warranty. ILiving even instructed me to complain to Amazon about their complicity in selling me this used scooter with no warranty.
