On Sept.14th, 2023 I dropped my car off to have my front driver set upholstery done, I had a rip in the seat.Received my car back at 5:10 pm the same day (dropped it off at 9:00 am) - when I got there my car was in disarray, it had a white film over both seats and I had scratches on my panel from when he was trying to get the set-out. The owner's son continued to complain about the new guy his DAD had hired! the owner's son stated my dad is going to be ****** and fire him - the son assured me that the panel would be taken care of when his dad returned on Friday 9/16. I proceeded to turn my vehicle on, and a red light was on that stated; "DRIVER RESTRAINT SYSTEM MALFUNCTION! CONTACT *** IMMEDIATELY" "CONTINUE WEARING SEAT BELT. CONSULT NEAREST SERVICE CENTER IMMEDIATELY!". I asked him what does this mean - the son of the owner stated " I'm not sure I know when we tried to install the seat the car wouldn't start - but let me call my dad. He got off the phone and stated his dad said all he would need to do is RESET IT! His son stated his DAD would be in on Saturday 16th, he proceeded to say; My dad's going to fire the new guy! I said your dad had me under the impression that he would do my vehicle not a new guy he just hired. I drove home and parked my car - called him on Friday 9/16 he said he was in ****** and would be back the next Friday 9/22nd - called on Friday 9/22 and the Owner's son stated his DAD wasn't back from ****** but he would definitely be here this Friday, 9/29. Called on 9/29 and received the same answer from the owner's son. I called every Friday thereafter. All this time I never drove my vehicle due to what the warning light stated....I was so inconvenienced - having to take Uber to work - and catch rides to work and home. I called and spoke with my *** dealer (because now this has become ridiculous!) to see if they would reset my vehicle - they stated it would cost me $275.00 on 10/02/2023 or so. I continued to call other establishments to see if I could get a cheaper price. In the meantime, I'm still calling and the son keeps telling me the same thing - He will be here at the shop this Friday 10/6 for sure. I continued to try to find an auto shop that could reset my vehicle for a cheaper price. Finally, I found a place for $75.00 and it was RESET on 10/10. Once it was done I drove to "*****'s Auto Upholstery Tapicieria and he was there. I acted like I wasn't upset because I needed a formal receipt - previously he had given me a card with his stamp showing I paid the $250.00- he stated he ran out of his letterhead receipts. On 10/10/23 I received the formal receipt. I would like to get reimbursed for my $250.00 for all the inconvenience and lies they told me AND I would like to be compensated for the $75.00 I paid.
