    I am filing this complaint against Mr. ***** ****, owner of J.R. ******************** Company, for contractor fraud and unlicensed contracting. The contractor falsely claimed to be licensed in **********, took my money under false pretenses, and failed to perform the agreed-upon work, violating California Business and Professions Code 7028, which makes it a misdemeanor to contract without a valid license.1. Contractor Information Name: ***** ****** ****** **** Business Name: J.R. ******************** Company Address: ********************************************* Phone Number: ***************** License Number: Unlicensed (Falsely Claimed to Be Licensed)2. Summary of Fraudulent Activity On 10/14/2024, I hired **************** to complete Cabinet remodel and Installation at my residence in *********, **. The total agreed-upon cost was $11000, and I made an initial payment of $8000 on 10/24/2024 via $6500 Zelle and $1500 cash payment. The contractor falsely represented himself as a licensed contractor, which is illegal under California Business and Professions Code 7028. The project was supposed to be completed by October 31, 2024, but is not even 10% finished, leaving my home in disarray and causing significant stress to my family.The contractor:Falsely claimed to be licensed to gain my trust.Removed my existing cabinets worth $2,000 but never installed new cabinets.Dumped some unusable materials at my home, which I cannot use or discard.Repeatedly gave false promises to complete the work but never followed through.Ignored my calls and messages after taking payment.Failed to refund my money or complete the work.Repeatedly lied about showing up, even when I visited his home twice to request completion.I sent a formal demand letter on Feb 3rd 2025, requesting either completion of the project or a refund. The contractor has ignored my request.

    Please find attached the Invoice & payment Receipt from J.R Closet company.
    Invoice is for $4000. We paid $2000 on 25th March 2024. and since then he is not responding to our calls.
    Invoice was signed by me "***** *****", but my wife was talking to the owner Sion ****. Owner of J.R Closet company is "Sion ****" and his number is *****************
    Please help us out with this.
