I purchased a Congoleum sheet vinyl floor frm Americas Finest Carpet Company at ***************************************** in April 2024 and it was installed incorrectly. According to Congoleum's installation expert who we talked to, it was a failed install. There is a visible gap between two sheets of flooring wide enough to put the edge of a credit card between them. This should have been made edge to edge and sealed when installed. We have tried several times to get someone from America's Finest Carpet Company remedy the problem but have had no response.

The Flooring company had come out 1 time about a year after installation to repair the flooring the was buckling fraying and separating. A few months later we noticed the flooring doing it again, we contacted them so they sent an inspector out to *******. Durung this visit they repaired a stair nose that cracked due to too much over hang and no support. The inspector said there may be moisture or a leak so they wanted to do a moisture test. They lifted the flooring in 3 spots in corners of the home, not in the areas the floor was affected. They said the tests detected moisture so we called a leak detection company to come see if we had a slab leak. The leak detection company found NO leaks or moisture under the flooring or in the baseboards or the walls. We let the flooring company know and they refuse to repair the flooring. During all the back and forth and waiting games, the flooring has worsened, Frayed more and is doing the same to the upstairs flooring as well. We also have 3 more stair noses that are cracked. We have tried asking them to send out for a reinspection and help us resolve this and they've said No. We asked for prior moisture testing that was done before installation and they didn't do one. The flooring came with .5 inch padding and we were never asked or offered any other Barriers to lay before installation. They said we could have ******** placed now if we pay again for flooring. We have asked, if this was a moisture issue why is it doing it upstairs when theirs no concrete upstairs!? So again we asked for another inspection, that maybe its a manufacturer defect and they said No we've already done one so we won't do another. We would just like our flooring to not shift and fray everytime we walk on it.If moisture affects flooring in this way why weren't we offered prior testing or barriers to prevent this!? They repaired once and never even specified a moisture problem at that time. We would just like our flooring properly replaced.
