    I have a rental property in **********, ** and I regularly pay ******** Services quarterly for my waste collection service. But NBS double/mistakenly charged me for nothing (no service/no extra trash cart added) since 2022 through my county property tax bills. Here is the detail:July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023 REFUSE/YARD WASTE ************ $1,947.36 RECYCLING ************ $758.40 Total charge: $2,705.76 (PAID)July 1, 2023 - June 30, **** REFUSE/YARD WASTE ************ $2,016.00 RECYCLING ************ $800.64 Total charge: $2,816.64 ($1,408.32 PAID / $1,408.32 due in April ****)

    NBS is in receipt of the notification of the complaint ID ******** and appreciates your assistance with this matter. NBS is proud of our reputation and the high level of customer service we are committed to providing for our clients and their property owners.
    NBS is a local government consulting firm that is currently contracted with the ****************** (the Client) to provide tax roll billing services. This service includes placing charges on the Alameda County property tax bills for service fees including Solid Waste (Garbage) and Recycling in accordance with state and local laws.
    Following the initial inquiry from the complainant, we have confirmed with our Client and the service providers ********* Services and *******) that the charges placed on the Tax Roll by NBS are in fact correct as the property contains four (4) residential units. It is the responsibility of the service providers to correct their billing and provide the additional containers that are required for each unit under the Municipal Code for the City.
    Our ************* representative did inform the property owner on December 13th that they would be getting a refund/bill credit. As this must come from the service providers, we were unable to give them specifics regarding the exact date or method of the refund/bill credit.NBS doesnt handle ********, payments, refunds, or anything related to the amounts billed by the service providers. As of December 20th, we were able to confirm with the property owner that the service providers will be sending them a refund soon after the holidays in the total amount of $2,959.48.
    Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter. We are confident that you will agree that NBS did not in fact commit an error,that we have done everything possible to resolve the issue on behalf of the complainant, and that the responsibility for the service refund/bill credit is not ours.
