My washer overflowed and flooded entire 1st floor. contacted Flood1Restoration. they immediately came in and gutted everything and quoted $41,504.55. State Farm approved $37,840.85 they then increased the quote to $44,165.41. ***********************, the owner recommended I get his a public adjuster he knows involved. Now State Farm paid out $76,191.23. Flood 1 was paid $63,037.64( he kept asking for more money so he "can pay his crew" before he can start work). the public adjuster was paid $5,838.9., I held on to the last $7,314.62 because of the problems described here. he just sent a new bill for $99,256.19, and a threat of placing o place a lien if I did not pay another $11,400!He billed and was paid for things he did not do, or substitutes with cheap alternative. examples: he was paid to have a 2 axle truck and dump fee, but he used his van and my trash bins. he was paid for 4 1/2 floor base, which he did not do, for wood flooring, which he substituted with laminate, to repair/replace all water damaged door jambs, he did not, for 2 layer paint, but used one. he would not finish the stairs baseboards, because he didn't know how to install them on the slanting parts of the stairs. he was paid to repair/replace the cherry kitchen cabinets, but used scrap wood.of the work he did do, the quality was poor.the original walls or some walls were not painted or show through. his baseboard and cabinets were cut to the wrong size leaving gaps from the original stone tile flooring. there are paint marks all over, uneven edges. dented walls were not textured to match then original walls damages to 2 stainless steel fridges, 2 leather loveseats, all of th living room and dining room wood furniture, window treatments, broke an irreplaceable ceramic piece, damaged a cabinet, since they removed the kkckboards and left it without support for 10 months, so the entire cabinet is sagging and left a gap between it's top and the trimming above.....
