    the most scummy horrible company, ive never been late what so ever, the shutoff my water because a payment got returned they never sent any communication to ask for the payment i would of gladly paid, also i am still on autopay why wouldn't they just retry the payment. definitely a billing error on their part. it is paid in full and some. but they shut off the water with no warning.

    My husband called Rancho Water 10/13 and while I completely understand I'm over 30 days past due. I called to see if I can just get a 3 day extension since my payday was 3 days after it is due to be shut off. The lady I spoke to was very rude and condescending. I know this is my fault but times are very tough and money is very tight. Instead of just saying no, we can not extend your payment date, she had the nerves to say "Well I guess, you have to get a payday loan". She said it in such a rude, demeaning way. Families are struggle and we don't need people to make us feel more sh*ttier than we already feel. Have a little compassion customer service. Sorry that you don't know what struggle feels like.

    Rancho California water district issued a bill on the 1st of November with a due date of 11/11/22 less than 15 days from the date of issue. Rancho California then gave a late bill 3 days later 11/04/22 with a 10-dollar charge increase for late payments prior to the due date. establishing a new due date of 11/14/22. 5 days after this 11/09/22 and still prior to the original due date of 11/11/22 I received a Final Notice with an increase of $28.00 due by the 14th.
    3 bills within 7 days all prior to the original due date.
    when I called at 5:17 pm on 11/10/22 to remit payment I was told that my payment could only be accepted in person, and I was instructed to come to the office in person on 11/11/14 and I was assured that despite the holiday the office would be open. The office was indeed closed for the holiday.
    so I immediately began to call after-hours numbers to submit payment. every attempt to submit payment was blocked and I was told that in order to pay I would have to come in and pay in person or my water would be shut off on 11/14/22.

    Rancho California water FORCED ME into a delinquent status and is REFUSING to accept payment so that they can EXTORT MORE MONEY out of a Disabled Combat veteran on Veterans day of all days.
    I am seeking a settlement and compensation for pain and suffering

    This customer had not paid a bill since August 2022. Therefore, payment for September + late fee and October + late fee and November was due 11/10/22. The customer was advised on 10/7/22 that water shutoff would occur on 11/14/22 if not paid in full. The District was closed on 11/11/22 for Veterans Day; however, payments can be made online or in our outside drop box at the office at any time for all customers, regardless of holiday hours. This customer did not choose to make payment in either of those ways. The customer did pay in-full in-person at our office on 11/14/22, thus avoiding service interruption. Amounts due have been left out of this response to ensure the privacy of the customer.
