Our initial engagement with American Leak Detection took place on or around 05/16/19. A employee who described himself as new was dispatched to locate the source of the leak within our pool. He could not find the source of the leak and this outcome was duly noted on the work order form. After the initial assessment, we reached out to American Leak Detection again around 06/03/19 per his request to do a static test. During this second visit, we were informed that there were supposed cracks present that required filling. After the initial crack-filling attempt, the leak persisted, leading to a third visit by American Leak Detection. This time, additional supposed cracks were identified, necessitating another round of unnecessary repairs. We had to empty the pool twice and refill it twice unnecessarily due to these recommendations, incurring significant costs. A fourth visit occurred on or around 08/20/19, during which further supposed cracks were pinpointed, and the recommendation was made to replaster the pool. Regrettably, not only did we pay approximately $1,830.00 to this company, which does not include the cost of having to empty the pool or the subsequent cost of refilling it, but their actions led to our pool being now containing unnecessary epoxy, which began chipping instantaneously once the product dried. It is intriguing to observe that on each of their own work orders, a recurring note claims "no other problems are noted." However, each subsequent visit by American Leak Detection seems to introduce new issues, raising questions about the accuracy and integrity of their assessments. In response, we sent multiple emails to both the specific American Leak Detection office and their corporate office, detailing our concerns and providing evidence of the ongoing issues. We shared a video provided by another company clearly demonstrating that the supposed cracks were not related to the leak, along with an email from that company affirming this fact.
