      This drug is POISON! I took this drug for 8 months. It has destroyed my life. First after about a month I started getting “tingling “ in my legs and feet. Over time I developed tremors, STUNNING MIGRAINES!, decreasing strength of my whole left side. Also lost my short term memory and ability to speak for 4 days after a toxic event of this drug. I also lost my ability to walk for over 4 days during the same event. I got lightheaded and fell. Within minutes I started throwing-up, then I could not speak. They ran every test possible to find answers.they thought I was having a stroke. After all the emergency testing, including MRIs CT bloodwork, they said it was not a stroke. They said it showed that I was exposed to something chemically toxic. I’m already disabled and I never go out hardly at all. So it was not an outside factor that this happened. The only thing that was different was the Drug vanity that I was injecting Every month as directed. I started getting numbness in my lower legs and feet and hands. To this day, they are still suffering the same symptoms as before. I just thank God I got my ability to speak and walk a little better it has destroyed my life. I can no longer walk without a walker because of the numbness , my feet Balance all the time. The only thing that’s not is the Drug that did this to me. The reason I’m writing this is because this company has misinformed their customers That take this drug. I’ve been a certified nurse assistant for 26 years . They said the half-life of their drug once injected is 7 to 14 days. For anyone that works in the medical field, we all know the point of getting a biologic. It’s so it stays in the body longer and you have less trips to the doctor. That’s the intention of all Biologics to stay in the body as long as possible. There is no half shelflife of 7 to 14 days for a biologic anywhere in this world! It’s an outright lie. Did you know it takes some minimum of 110 days to 180 days to start leaving your body?

      I would give it one star except that the employees were polite and tried to help.
      I bought an Aimovig prescription from my local walgreens. Aimovig is a treatment for migraines and Amgen has certainly caused headaches for me.
      The patient is supposed to inject this drug every 30 days for 3 months. In the first two months it hasn't helped me at all. It's common for migraine sufferers to get no relief from various drugs. That's not my problem, although it would be helpful if their researchers could develop something that didn't take so long before you can get relief or give up on the product.
      The problem is that the autoinjector didn't work. I requested a replacement. They said I couldn't get this quickly from a convenient pharmacy. I had to use the Knipper pharmacy. This meant that my doctor had to be contacted for a new prescription. After this is approved by the doctor by time consuming communication their pharmacy will send a replacement by United Parcel Service.
      The drug is supposed to be injected every 30 days and their process causes delays.
      Knipper told me that my drug would be delivered 7 days after I needed it. I protested. Now it will be delivered 4 days after I needed it.
      The instructions state that if the injection isn't given on the day that it is supposed to be the patient should inject it as soon as possible. I couldn't get Amgen to give me any information about how much of a delay was acceptable.
      This frustrating process needs to be corrected.

      If I could give them a zero or negative I would. I faxed paperwork to them 3 times and emailed paperwork 4 times. It was either to dark or blacked out with even my email submissions. I had to call them 9 times over 2 months. It just became to much stress. It was obvious they didn't want to help me. I even was yelled at by one of the women I talked too. Extremely unprofessional and unfriendly. Don't waste your time or breathe.

      If I could give them a ZERO, I absolutely would. This is the worst company ever to have to work with to get assistance for my patients. Zero communication, every excuse in the book as to why they can't communicate, the program overall needs to be streamlined in some way. It's more of a hassle than actual assistance. Why do I have to keep calling in to find out you haven't processed or done anything on your end except sit on our paperwork? Why does it take so very long to do everything through this company? And this is supposed to be a safety net for whom?
