    As a 69-year-old woman, I trusted General Air Conditioning & Plumbing to do the right thing instead, I was taken advantage of and overcharged $1,400 for a job that wasnt even done properly. The ********** claimed to have fixed burnt cables but also kept pushing me to replace my entire AC unit because it was old. I said no just fix the cables. He claimed he did.But the unit still wasnt cooling. It was a Sunday, so I contacted another ********** that my son knows. He came out, immediately noticed the vents were extremely dirty, and discovered the unit was frozen over with ice both major issues that the first ********** completely missed. The second ********** cleaned the system and got it working again.When I contacted General Air Conditioning & Plumbing to complain and ask for a refund and my invoice the manager said the ********** charged $1,400 for multiple things. Yet to this day, weeks later, they still havent sent me an invoice, despite me asking the manager personally multiple times. I even sent him photos showing the frozen unit and filthy vents that his ********** ignored.The manager never apologized, never took responsibility, and instead just offered to come and check the **********s work then canceled or rescheduled twice. He also claimed he already sent me the invoice (he didnt), and then promised to text it again but never followed through.General Air Conditioning & Plumbing has shown zero accountability, poor customer service, and absolutely no respect for their customers. If you value honest work and transparency, go somewhere else.

    This group of people are reliable, trustworthy and do what we ask and more, if they see that the job needs some extra parts or service. They call, explain the need and outline the tools needed to for the job to be done correctly.

    Always professional, courteous, tidy and good at communication. Not always the least expensive but the quality and dependability and the way they back up their work is exceptional. They've re-piped my whole house, replaced my entire HVAC system with a new heat pump and have solved a bunch of miscellaneous plumbing problems that previous owners had neglected. The office staff too is endlessly cheerful, polite and quick to help when you call.

    I called General Air Conditioning about servicing my A/C units. The A/C was not keeping up, set at 79 and the house was 81 degrees. The technician showed up on time and she opened the outside unit released some gas and then I showed her the unit in the attic. We both noticed the drain pipe was broken, I told her I would fix it and I brought the glue, pipe and pipe fitting so I could fix it. But I was interrupted when a priest came from Houston to hear our confessions and to give our Anointing of the Sick, as we are both suffering from Bad Hearts requiring more surgeries. The technician told me that she could not continue until the pipe was fixed with her materials. So I said go ahead at cost of 80 plus dollars, as I could not keep the priest waiting. After the priest finished, I asked what the status of the A/C units. She said I would need a new Capacitor and Freon. She thought there was a leak. She asked me if Freon was added in the past, i couldn't say for sure. She said it was 380 dollars for the Freon and she told me that is what Freon is charged, not by the pound. I asked her if she knew how much was needed. I asked her if she had checked the coils, she said there was rust in the drain pipe. If I wanted her to check the coils for leaks, that would be another 162 Dollars.
    My wife paid the 161 dollars and the A/C is still not fixed. After she left, I after surviving Major Heart Surgery, I went up in the attic and found that the cold air was leaking from the A/C outlet and it looked like it was missing the joint tape(wrap). So I wrapped up the joint with duct tape and called another A/C contractor to really evaluate the A/C unit and fix it properly. I’m so glad I did not sign a service agreement for my house and my son's. This service call would have cost a $1000. I would never recommend anyone call General Air Conditioning no way for that is what they did to us. Also, I did not threaten this technician nor was recorded conversation lawful under TX law.
