A software product called Zinstall WinWin was purchased on December *******.I was given assistance on installation and use of the software via chat and email. It was determined that the software would not work in the application I had and I was told that if the software did not work for me I could get a refund. I applied several times for a refund via chat, email, and voice conversation with a company representative to process a refund. I have submitted several trouble tickets (ZDR # *****, *****, ******, ******, ******. Last one I put in (#******), for a refund was never responded to after 4 days. My son got a new gaming ** and needed to transfer data from his old computer to his new one. I found Zinstall online, and he paid for the transfer service. He tried multiple times to get the software to work, but it would not complete the transfer. He chatted with their support and was not successful. I bought an Ethernet cord to try and make it work and was still unsuccessful. I have emailed their support multiple times and chatted with their customer service. I cannot get a response to any emails I send asking for a refund. We took the ** to Best Buy to have them manually do the data transfer.Initial Complaint

I purchased a software from this company, with a money back guarantee, to move my PC computer information to a new laptop I'd purchased. I spent months moving the programs that I had previously purchased, to the lap top and when I heard this software would move all the data associated with each program, it sounded like a great option. I bought it, tried to use it and after 4 full days and nights, when stuff was getting duplicated and not even close to current information, I contacted the company to ask for help. After 8 communications with them, all I got was some form letters asking me if all was good but none answered my problems or addressed how to fix it. I gave them two weeks to sort it out and got nothing but a response that said if it didn't work, clean the laptop, show them I did and they would give me a refund. After spending months moving ********** quickbooks and horse farm management programs, the last thing I was going to do is clean it all and start again. I contacted another company that offered the same sort of software, laplink, and within 30 minutes they had moved all my information over to my laptop and it was all current and correct. I told the Zinstall people that their customer service was severely lacking and I was expecting a full refund or I would contact the BBB. Never hear back from them.Initial Complaint

One of my computers hinge broke, so I got a new computer and wanted to transfer over all the programs and files from my old to my new. As seen on TV marketing is what caught my eye, so I paid for this download:Will Zinstall work for my computer?Zinstall works with any Windows (including Windows 11), and with any computer.For example, you can transfer from Windows 10 to Windows 11, from **** to HP, from Windows 10 to another Windows 10, 7 to 11, you name it. You can transfer to a completely different computer, different manufacturer, desktop to laptop, and any other combination.Went through all the steps that it asks. However, it kept telling me that I need to update windows 11 on both computers. So, I did. Than, it wanted me to update windows 10. That's when I know I got taken for a ride. I reached out to the company and asked for a refund as what I paid for on the download does not work and did nothing for transferring anything over to my new computer. They have yet to get back to me or issue my refund.Total cost $138.52 Invoice number ******** taken on 2/11/23. Please help me resolve this issue. In late October I purchased a new home computer. In order to facilitate the transfer of programmes, associated licences and data from old ********* machine to new ********* machine I purchased zinstalls transfer product which claims to move all these elements without effort or error. In reality the data moved but not all programmes did so successfully - most importantly to me, *****************, including many folders did not move properly. I contacted firm with immediate auto-response promising 12 hour substantive response. never received. Follow up sent 4 November and same experience. In the meantime I have had to employ an IT expert to rebuild my machine as I could not reverse the transfer. The product, in ** consumer law terms is "not fit for purpose" and is misrepresented. For a home use software programme, as a one-time, this is quite expensive ****** and I seek at least a 50percent refundInitial Complaint

I am seeking a refund of $141 that was charged to my account. This company advertised a software system that would transfer data from an old computer to a new computer, but once you purchase the set up and start the process, the migration is extremely slow and you are repeatedly solicited for upgrade options. In fact, the process looked like a ploy to get more money out of the customer. The MARKETING PLOY was OBVIOUS. Buy the lower price unit, unit doesn't work well, solicit the higher priced option, get the customer to spend more money. What a scam!
