In July of 2024 we contracted with Clear Build Group to remodel our garage. Attached is a summary of the work we wanted to have done.Under this contract, it was very difficult to get them to come out and do the work, even though we paid for 2/3 of the project ($12,620) up front. We had delays on our part, but finally told them we were ready and they said they would be out on August 28. Nobody came out or called saying they would not be coming. Three more times, I asked when they would be coming out and they gave me dates and times (September 9, 11, and 12). Nobody showed up on any of these occasions and nobody even called.I finally got tired of playing a "promise and wait" game and told them that I wanted to cancel the contract and get my money back. Nobody called to discuss my concerns, but rather, they sent two guys out later that day (September 13). The two guys did demolition in our garage. On September 16 another man came out ran electrical wires and tore up our plumbing. On September 17, Clear Build asked for $6,000 more from me but I refused. They said they needed that money to pay their workers and they would therefore not be able to come out any more. They have not been out since.Attached is a summary of text, phone, and e-mail messages exchanged with Clear Build Group that give details or our *************** summary, then, after we gave Clear Build Group our money, I initiated ALL contact with them (except for one text from the owner). Four times they said they would come out to start work but did not, and they never called to let us know. Finally, guys came out, but when they left, our garage was in worse shape than before they came. Plumbing was unusable. Live electrical wires were hanging all over our garage.I would like to get back the money we paid to Clear Build Group so we can hire another contractor to do the work.

My contractor hired ***********************/Clear Build Group to update the stucco on my house, including replacing damaged fascia boards and damaged threshold. He was supposed to sandblast the old stucco, replace damaged fascia boards, replace the rotted threshold, etc. Instead, he decided to take short cuts and just spray paint my entire home in some sort of elastomeric paint, then painted the trim, doors, and windows the wrong color, then layered on additional paint on top of that. When I pointed out, that none of the foundational work had been done, he tried to lie and say that's the process, then got guys to try to float stucco on top of the paint, broke windows in the process, painted my windows shut so they are no longer functional, painted the weather stripping such that they are stuck to the windows and frame, neglected to replace the threshold which was the most immediate task because of the rains, caused water damage inside of my home to the drywall, custom kitchen cabinets, etc. He has repeatedly misrepresented the work he was doing, didn't follow best practices or industry standards, and caused a tremendous amount of delay and anguish for everyone involved. My contractor took ***** off the work and hired someone else to do the stucco work, which is now complete. However, there is still a lot of damage that needs to be repaired, with the primary focus on the painting. ***** is responsible for the damage, but is not cooperating with my contractor, which is causing further delay. His business practice has been unethical and fraudulent.
