    I originally signed up for this program with the expectation of saving some time and convenience of travel throughout LA for what I consider to be a nominal cost. I ended with a $454 bill, $150 in tolls and the remaining balance due to overdue and delinquent fees. That's nearly 200% in penalty fees!Admittedly, I had lost my credit card and failed to update my credit card info in 2021. Metro Express Lanes also stopped sending e-mail statements to me in Sep 2021. I had also sent a couple checks since then to clear out the balance and get my account in good standing. I only knew I had a balance after picking up the physical mail from an address visit to pick up mail. Apparently I continued to rack up penalty fees over time leaving me to pay nearly 200% more than the original toll fees. I finally called to get everything straightened out and they offered a small discount on penalties, but still ended up paying nearly $350 in fees in the end. The alternative was to close my account and have them report my balance to the **** We all know how that goes. Let this serve as warning to those of you thinking to sign up. Regrettably, I will be cancelling my account after this and will call this some of the worst buyer's remorse I've had as an adult growing up LA.
