On the early morning of Jun 1st 2024 , my mothers car was towed by Patriot Towing. During this process, the following issues occurred:Denial of Access to Personal Items: The owner of Patriot Towing refused to allow my mother to retrieve her license from the car while it was in the tow yard.Excessive Gate Fee: We were charged an after-hours gate fee that was well over the legal limit as stipulated by Californias towing regulations. When I confronted the owner about this, he falsely claimed that the fee was mandated by the California Highway Patrol (***), not his own company.Deceptive Practices: The owner further stated that even if I contacted the *** to get the fee waived, he would deny the waiver and still charge the fee.Limited Payment Options: The owner would not accept payment by card and insisted that we pay only in cash or through Zelle, which I believe is an unreasonable limitation on payment options.Given these circumstances, I firmly believe that the after-hours gate fee was exorbitant and not in accordance with Californias legal limits. I respectfully request a refund for the amount charged over the legal limit.Requested Resolution:Refund of the excessive gate fee charged over the legal limit. Assurance that such practices will not occur in the future.I trust that the Better Business Bureau will take appropriate action to address this matter and ensure that such unfair practices are rectified.Thank you for your attention to this issue. I look forward to your prompt response.

On November 5th 2023 around 10:23pm, I was on the freeway one exit away from the charge station I was trying to get my car to but my car ended up dying on the freeway highway patrol pulled behind me and I informed him on what happened he called Patriot tow services of Central Valley ******************* pulled ** in the tow truck and immediately started yelling and threatening me and my passenger both of us are females, which had us really scared he told us we had to pay him 275 per HOUR to tow us literally an exit away and if we didnt pay him my car would be impounded and I would have to find away to get it out the tow. Based off I was in a rental car I told them I would call my road side services. Both highway and the tow driver told us we could not do that because they were going to take too long and if I didnt pay him the money he was going to tow the car the guy was really aggressive and I felt he was trying to scare us into paying him, my passenger gave in and told him she would pay, he then towed us to the charger station after he was giving the payment he walked over the the highway patrol car who followed us to the charge station and he gave the officer driving the car money they high fived each other and began laughing. The services wasnt no where near an hour I called the company and asked them what was their pay rate he said 275 an hr. I told him we literally went an exit away. He stated they start the time from when the driver left to come to us and dropped us off and get back to his station regardless none of it took an hour to complete we were taking advantage of by this tow company and high way patrol they all seemed to be working together and I would like for my money to be refunded and this company to be investigated.
