      ***************************** (representing this company) sent a personalized birthday card pretending to know my deceased grandfather with the intent of tricking him into a reverse mortgage. The contents of the letter referenced my grandfathers birthday as well a** my current address (his only association with my address is **** forwards his mail to me) so ******* clearly has access to personal information that was not given to him by myself or my grandfather. This is someone who is using elderly Americans personal information to trick them into thinking they have a personal relationship. This is elderly abuse.

      On 7/26/22 I received a voicemail from an unknown person stating that I should go hurt myself and suffer to great lengths because I sent a birthday card to his deceased Grand Father.  I did everything possible to connect the dots from the person that left me the voicemail to the person that I had sent a birthday card to, but was unable to make the connection.  For this reason, I sent a text message to the person asking who his Grand Father was so that I could take him off of my birthday card list and I apologized multiple times.  After finding out who the deceased person was, I immediately removed them from my database and ceased all communications.  

      During my text conversation with the person who filed this complaint, I found out that the birthday card had been delivered to a forwarding address and that my mail service made an error in that way.  Upon finding this out, I contacted my mail service and requested that they NEVER send correspondence to forwarded addresses to avoid this issue in the future.  

      To the person who filed this complaint, I apologize again for this error and any grief this has caused you.  I'm sorry that you were unhappy with the Reverse Mortgage that your Grand Father entered into, but I was not a part of that process.  Rather, I help clients who ALREADY have Reverse Mortgages to improve them and that was the reason for my reaching out.  I assure you that I am not taking advantage of anyone and I am a completely transparent and ethical professional in my industry.
