Communication with **** ********************** began on February 16, 2021, initiating discussions about obtaining planning approval for a building remodel. We paid an initial deposit of $1,000 and a $2,000 submittal fee on February 22, 2021, marking the project's start. The remaining $2,000 was due upon plan approval. Plans were submitted on April 16, 2021, but on April 30th, we received feedback requiring revisions. Revised plans were approved internally and submitted to the county on August 3, 2021. On September 9, 2021, Mr. ********************** informed us of the plan denial, but we didn't receive official notice until September 7, 2022. Despite ongoing communication, we faced delays and uncertainties. On November 22, 2022, we highlighted four crucial tasks, but they were ignored. Despite further revisions requested on December 22, 2022, we were notified of conditional approval on March 23, 2023. Mr. ********************** requested the final payment of $2,000 on the same day. An additional $3,000 was paid between 2022 and 2023 for what were originally outstanding tasks. We learned much of this information during in-person discussions with the planning department. Access to county documents via EZOP, controlled by Mr. **********************, was limited, hindering progress monitoring. Despite our challenges, the county waived extra fees, supporting our mission to provide housing for homeless veterans. However, despite assurances, the outstanding tasks remain unresolved. Having paid $8,000, we haven't received approved plans, raising concerns about project prioritization based on financial incentives. We urgently request the completion of the outstanding items to expedite approval.
