MESA Properties *** is a dishonest company that lacks integrity. They will lie and twist information to suit themselves. They seem to be afraid of CA law and will not gather legal opinion when questioned. We hired them to manage our property and instead of communicating clearly and accepting when they had caused damage to our home they would deny the damage and state it was due to the age of our home. When we questioned the large cost of maintenance repairs ($20K) and asked for a second opinion they were quick to state we were not allowing them to do their job and would need to terminate the contract. We lost tenants and damage was caused to our property due to their poor management. They did not follow up with the final walk-through of our home and instead left us to complete the transaction with the tenants. They will not take care of your home, they will blame you for anything that occurs and they will lie to protect themselves. Do not trust MESA Properties with the management of your property.

This owner hired us to manage their 1960's luxury pool home. In less than 3 weeks, we placed high quality tenants that paid rent on time in full every month and they took excellent care of the property. During the 17 months of management, the older home experienced typical maintenance issues. For example, a 2006 built-in microwave and stove were replaced, routine landscaping and pool service was completed, and there was a service call for minor electrical issues. Unfortunately, this owner did not agree with our assessment that a broken microwave from 2006 was not the tenant's fault. During the tenancy, the main sewer line started backing up repeatedly. After the first backup, we received multiple estimates from licensed plumbers and presented this owner with different options on how to fix the sewer line. It was at this point that the owner denied the repairs, which left us with no option but to snake the mainline on a routine basis.More than 6 months after the problem initially occurred, and after we had presented the owner with multiple estimates from different plumbers, she refused to move forward with any of our contractors. It was at this point that we told her that if she delayed repairs any longer, we would have to terminate the contract due to her not maintaining the home properly. She proceeded to hire a different plumber to fix the mainline. However, it was too late and the tenants were dissatisfied with the maintenance, so they broke the lease agreement. This owner stated that, "we did not follow up with the final walk-through of the home and instead left us to complete the transaction with the tenants." We did complete a pre-move out and move-out inspection and we did offer to complete minor repairs after the tenants moved out. However, this owner terminated the management agreement and revoked our access to the property before we could complete the security deposit disposition. This left us with no choice but to return the deposit to the owner because she revoked our legal authority to act on her behalf.Ultimately, we collected more than $65,000 of on time rent payments and at the end of the 17 months, returned the home in excellent condition. We treated her honestly and respectfully in every interaction. We even offered to completely pay to repaint some walls that the tenant painted. However, she chose to blame Mesa Properties for her 2006 appliances and plumbing backups, which we did not cause or contribute to in any way. The home was returned to her in excellent condition, and she promptly re-rented it with another company shortly after the first set of tenants moved out.We don't always see eye to eye with every property owner that we manage for, but we always try to work it out and get on the same page. Unfortunately we were not able to successfully accomplish that with this owner. The details provided here are meant to provide context to the claims that were made in the review by the owner.

To all who decides to go through Mesa property management, think twice and do your homework because doing their application and paying that fee of $45.00 per adult 18 and older. We submitted our $45.00 each. It took them lease then the 5 days to decline. Manager ******** that made the final decision. I left a message on her voicemail. She never called me back just an email. I wanted to ask her why was my application declined when I passed all that was required. She emailed me back stating it was due to a landlord unfavorable reference. This was after I was completely honest by telling them my landlord and I have a bad landlord/tent relationship due to my landlord wanted me to lie for him with the city code enforcement for all of the things that he needed to fix in my unit. I was told they will put that in to consideration. Apparently this mess property is full of s*** and just want people hard earned money because they know they can keep a house empty for along time and with all the highly overrated applicants fee they can pay they rent. While hard working people such as myself get lied to and lose money that no one can afford. I even tried to reach out to them to provide proof that my landlord even had omitted he indeed lied. You know what ******** emailed my back, I do apologize but they are going off of what the landlord originally stated. So, please someone tell me why is it that people like the manager ******** and her underhand staff can get away with doing something like this and as if we dont have enough homeless people in the world. Mesa property management staff needs to put themselves in our people shoes and when they get treated the way their company treats the public maybe they will be a little more compassionate to others. I will never refer anyone to MESA PROPERTY MANAGEMENT RENTAL AND THE ***** OR RUDE WHEN THEY DO ANSWER THE ****** They sound like robots and they are a TRUE SCAM AGENCY THAT TELLS YOU TO WATCH OUT FOR ********. RED FLAG IS THEM

Hello,We are sorry to hear that you did not have a good experience and that you disagree with our denial of the rental application. Unfortunately, when we receive an unfavorable reference from a past or current landlord that indicates that the terms of the lease agreement were not adhered to, we must deny the application. If you have any further questions or concerns about the denial, please contact our office at **************.

OMG Scam is correct, they tried to say i gave false information and once i disputed their decision to denied me, they stop replying to my emails and calls.
I was told originally that they will confirm any questions they had through a verbal confirmation which was never done.
Id ask for my copy of the background report because it was the first i have ever heard of any type of eviction on my record. But never heard back after that. very dishearten to read others going through the same thing.

      Hi O**,
We are glad that we were able to resolve this with you today. I won't got into the specifics on a public forum but some questions that were answered in the application did not line up with what we were able to verify on credit reports and an eviction check. However, you were able to provide information that proved that what was contained in your background report was incorrect and we have notified you that we are able to proceed with processing your application.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact our office directly at (***) ***-****.

I don’t want to call them a scam company but in my experience it seems that way. My wife and I were rejected from renting a home, I’m assuming because of low credit score. But my issue is the misinformation that I received from email exchanges with employees with the company. The first email , the employee explained that I could get a refund on our application fees but I had to reach out to the “findings” company. So I did and they said they could not do that and I needed to reach out to Mesa properites. So I did again and they said they could not refund but I could transfer the application fee to a different home. So I emailed back and asked if I could transfer the application fee to a different property and they said no! My wife and I would have to pay the $45 each AGAIN. the last email I sent, I asked how many applications do they accept before they take a property off the market… I have yet to get a reply…
So if this company is taking in multiple application fees (I seen on Zillow the property in question was contacted over 150 times) they are making possibly 10s of thousands of dollars in application fees.
I’m a U.S. Army veteran who served this fine country for over a decade! Deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan 5 times! Spent 5+ years in combat zones! To deal with this BS!
I hope this company gets investigated!
At least give us our darn application fees back.
So yes I will call this company a scam! Deceptive snakes!
