    I was looking for a company to repair my avionic equipment since the manufacturer no longer provides service.I have contacted with AvionTEq (A Plus Avionics Corp.) to repair my equipment. Mailings as below; AvionTEq; -Please be advised that the equipment needs assessment before we can provide cost for repair." which is fine and make sense.My reply; -Before sending out/shipping the equipment, I would like to ask that are you capable of repair all type of defects or can you find the parts if anything needs replacement? Because the manufacturer said that the unit is no longer serviced.AvionTEq; -As per our records, the unit is still in production. Please let us know once you are ready to ship the unit.I was replied three weeks later below;AvionTEq; The unit was tagged BER due to chip damage and can no longer repaired due to parts.My reply; -It's ok the unit can not be repaired but, Had I been told there may be a case of not being able to find the required part, I would have considered it before shipping the unit so I wouldnt incur any extra cost.When I receive the the unit I found the condition is not the same as I shipped the unit. Somehow it was damaged by them because there is no chance it can be damaged during the shipping by the hard case for transportation.In summary, I had to incur for inspection and shipping fees, also lost so much time and effort to get my equipment back.Hopefully this helps to anybody who is planining to work with this company AVIONTEQ.
