    July 27th, 2022, we paid FameMedia a fee of **** for an article placement as a top female entrepreneur in LA Weekly.
    After payment, we were sent an online questionnaire which was filled out. We were then informed a draft would be sent before publication.
    At the beginning of August we did reach out to them, and on August 8th we were told we'd get a draft that day or the day after. August 12th I followed up again.
    On August 30th we were sent an email saying they were going live in a day or two and sent us the draft. I went through it (and did fail to pick up on the misspelling of a name). However, when the piece was published - the piece had multiple spelling errors and we reached out to them again. They promised to fix errors, but the link was not updated for weeks with corrections.
    We reached out to them again in October, raising our concern and unhappiness about the article and the process of the article. They responded by saying they would go through it and discuss our request which was either a refund or a new free article. We have not heard anything from them since.
    Our issue is that - even though we filled out a questionnaire, they did nothing to form that information into a well-written article or do any spell-checks. As a company that does charge a substantial amount for an article, we do expect a better level of service and execution. As a public figure, it is easy to google to add other details or fact check, nothing was done and the fact that we were sent the draft the same day as publication is also not what we were promised.
