    Beware of TotalAV. They upgraded us to a premium level WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION. We were paying $99/year and they charged us $149/year for the autorenewal. I decided to cancel the subscription and asked for a prorated refund since we were only one month into it. After multiple emails to cancel, they did not and simply noted all the great features of TotalAV. Terrible customer service and very unethical! DO NOT PURCHASE THEIR ANTIVIRUS.

All customers receive an introductory discount upon sign up for antivirus protection, either on a monthly or annual subscription. To ensure our customers devices continue to stay protected, all services automatically renew. The introductory discount does not apply to the renewal payment and all renewals are charged at the regular rate. We send an email giving notice of this occurrence.     This company is a total scam! They bill you without any advance notice, without sending an invoice. In addition, they raised their prices from $35 to $149 with absolutely no notice. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. When I tried to dispute the charge that appeared on my credit card statement I was told it was too late. How could I have cancelled before when I was never advised. And yes, I checked my spam folder, there was nothing there.
