      I returned a pair of hiking pants in December that were purchased at Patagonia two weeks prior so I was within their time-frame for returns. I received a credit on my American Express and the credit never appeared on my credit card statement. I contacted Patagonia Customer service and they asked me to send them a copy of the receipt which I did. After several email exchanges and phone calls and long periods of waiting on hold, they admitted they made an error and would credit my card. A month went by and I still did not receive the credit they had promised. I phoned the customer service department again and they said they were 'working on it'. I have never experienced a situtation where I received a credit on my card and then the credit did not appear-- nor was I notified by the store that there was an error or that they were not issuing the credit for some reason. It is unbelievable, terrible service. The amount of the transaction is small as well...under $80. The company has terrible customer service and treats their customers with complete disregard.
