On 3/1/2022, I ordered a supercharger for my Toyota Tundra Pick up truck through a vendor of this company located in CT. I was told over the phone by Magnuson that the part ordered had to be installed by a dealer/vendor of their product in order to obtain the limited warranty that comes with the product. after spending 3049.25 for the install at this dealer location, I noticed damage to the unit, which Magnuson has admitted via email from the CEO, Kim Pendergast, as well as the general manager of Magnuson, had occurred during manufacturing of the product, which I paid 7500.00 for plus taxes. The cosmetic damage was not as big of a concern to me as it was to find out from the General Manager via phone call and emails that I could have installed this product on my own, without having to spend the 3049.25, in order to obtain the warranty that was important to me. The last response I received from Ms. Pendergast was not addressing this issue at all, and only the cosmetic issues, which she believed could be fixed by a touch up pen on my own. I am looking for some kind of compensation for the amount I spent on the install after being told I had to have it done by a vendor. Especially after the GM of Magnuson told me on the phone, even if they offered me 1500.00 back as an apology for the misinformation, that I still wouldn't be happy. Yet, the last contact I had was from the companies CEO stating she felt a touch up pen was more than enough for my concern, and never addressed her representative who flat out lied to me about having to pay someone to install their product for a warranty to be in effect.
