    On August 20, 2024, ***************************** home at ***************************************, was destroyed by Tropical Storm ******* Subsequently, ******* Guedes (****) offered to rebuild *******'s home. ******* and **** had a previous friendship spanning ten years, occasionally involving intimacy.**** presented ******* with a contract valued at $228,272.90 January 24, 2024, with a start date of 02/01/24 and an anticipated completion date of 05/22/24. However, the relationship between ******* and **** became strained as construction progressed.******* reported verbal and emotional abuse from ****, including derogatory language and demeaning behavior. ****'s temper escalated during the project, leading to daily verbal assaults on ******* and his son, A.J. who is ****'s employee. Financial discrepancies arose, with **** demanding payments outside of the agreed-upon schedule and misrepresenting expenses. Change order was double billing for certain items.The situation worsened when ******* attempted to end their romantic relationship due to ****'s continued abuse. In retaliation, **** demanded immediate payment and fabricated accusations against *******, including financial manipulation and threats of violence. On 4/25/24 **** unlawfully restricted *******'s access to her property by changing the lockbox code and refusing to give her the code,raising concerns about potential safety hazards and unauthorized surveillance.Evidence includes correspondence detailing financial transactions, text messages displaying ****'s abusive language, testimony from witnesses confirming ****'s aggressive behavior, photographic evidence of ****'s purchases he said he had no part of, and testimonies from ****'s ex-wife corroborating his history of verbal abuse and vindictive behavior.***************************** experience with ******* Guedes and Guedes Construction represents a pattern of abusive conduct, financial exploitation, and professional misconduct.
