Work started 8/5/2024 Hired to install 210ft privacy fence. 63 at 7 high and 147 at 6 high The contract was for $16,965. I have paid $8315 so far but since company refuses to acknowledge my concerns or to remedy shortcomings I am holding balance to hire another contractor to fix.The fence is not sturdy. It wobbles. A corner parcel monument was removed. I contacted the surveyor who said it will be $800+ to set a new monument and submit paperwork. They did not stop the fence where they were supposed to. They used the post of my existing fence instead of setting a new post for the new fence. Board on board fence has minimal overlap allowing gaps between boards. The distance between pickets and the ground is inconsistent. Some areas as much as 5. It was important to me to have complete privacy, which I was told the board on board would give. It was also important to have no gaps between the boards and ground. Both of those concerns were covered in the emails and verbally. I was guaranteed no gaps at ground and between pickets. Fence is already bowing out What should have been the 7 section is higher than 7. The cap and rail is wavy on top. Very noticeable. The cap has uneven overhang. There are areas with no overhang, some with overhang. 1/4 rail was used. Contract specifically said 2x4 cap and rails. Split and damaged boards used. Staples used to attach pickets to rails are already loose. Some pickets never attached to rails. I was not anticipating the shoddy fasteners or the split boards which were used throughout. I cant get an answer on whether or not stainless steel fasteners were used to prevent rust marks.I was charged for items not used. All in all very messy construction. Owner guaranteed that he would be there working with crew and overseeing job. Showed up first day for 10 mins.

Here is an update, ***** ****** also filed a complaint with the Contractor's State License Board.  I spoke with ******* ** from Contractor's State License Board and told her that I tried several times to set up a meeting with ***** ****** to resolve her issues and concerns, but with no success.  My last effort to contact ***** was September 25th.  We spoke for a few minutes, then she hung up on me.  Per ******* **, she would like for both parties to resolve the issues on their own.  Since this is not possible, I am waiting to hear back from ******* ** to see what the next step will be.

I refuse to allow **** to continue yelling, ranting and threatening me instead of participating in a productive dialogue. He does not allow me to speak. I am forced to listen to him. The last call was clocked in at 11mins. of verbal abuse.
Both of those conversations he is referring to ended with me excusing myself after explaining that his yelling, lying and denying any wrongdoing was a waste of our time.
There is no reason to meet in person. Maybe trying to settle the matter through texts or emails would help to keep his temper in check. I would like to continue keeping a record of our conversations and his behavior.
I have told him that he is free to contact me anytime by either email or text when he is ready. I want everything documented.

I am currently working with the **** as well as his bond company. Since I have all documentation since the beginning of our working relationship the documents will speak louder than his ranting.
